Job Description 
Syngenta is seeking an experienced and innovative Global Strategic E-Sourcing Specialist to join our Global
E-sourcing &amp; Contract Team. The ideal candidate will be a procurement expert with a strong background in digital sourcing technologies, advanced analytics, and strategic category management. This role reports directly to the Syngenta Global E-sourcing &amp; Contract Lead.
Location: Syngenta office in Pune, India
Travel Requirements: Minimal to none
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Strategic E-Sourcing Leadership:<ul><li>
Lead end-to-end e-sourcing initiatives for complex, high-value categories across direct and indirect spend</li><li>
Design and execute sophisticated e-auction strategies, leveraging advanced formats and bidding techniques</li><li>
Develop and implement innovative category strategies aligned with business objectives and market dynamics.</li></ul></li><li>
Digital Procurement Transformation:<ul><li>
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of SAP Ariba and other procurement tools across the organization</li><li>
Implement cutting-edge e-sourcing methodologies to maximize value and competitive advantage</li><li>
Spearhead the integration of emerging technologies into procurement processes</li></ul></li><li>
Advanced Analytics and Performance Management:<ul><li>
Conduct in-depth spend analysis to identify trends and value creation opportunities</li><li>
Develop comprehensive dashboards and KPIs to track and report on procurement performance</li><li>
Utilize predictive analytics to forecast spend patterns, identify savings opportunities, and mitigate supply chain risks</li></ul></li><li>
Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management:<ul><li>
Design and deliver training programs on e-sourcing tools and best practices for suppliers and internal stakeholders</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business needs</li><li>
Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new procurement processes and technologies</li></ul></li><li>
Tail-end Spend Optimization:<ul><li>
Develop and implement innovative strategies to manage and consolidate tail-end spend globally</li><li>
Drive the implementation of digital solutions to automate low-value procurement activities and reduce maverick spend</li></ul></li><li>
Strategic Supplier Relationship Management:<ul><li>
Nurture and develop strategic supplier relationships to drive innovation and create value beyond cost savings</li><li>
Implement supplier performance management programs to ensure continuous improvement and risk mitigation</li></ul></li><li>
Compliance, Risk Management, and Sustainability:<ul><li>
Ensure adherence to Syngenta's procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements</li><li>
Implement risk management strategies across the procurement function</li><li>
Drive sustainability initiatives within the procurement process, aligning with Syngenta's corporate sustainability goals</li></ul></li><li>
Thought Leadership and Mentoring:<ul><li>
Serve as a subject matter expert in e-sourcing best practices and emerging procurement technologies</li><li>
Mentor junior team members in advanced e-sourcing techniques and strategic procurement practices</li><li>
Present strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership to drive decision-making.</li></ul></li></ul> 

Qualifications 
Educational Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field</li><li>
Master's degree, MBA, or PGDM highly preferred</li></ul>
Experience:<ul><li>
6-10 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a strong preference for manufacturing/Service industry background</li><li>
Proven expertise in end-to-end Source-to-Contract processes, including spend analysis, e-auctions, and category management for both direct and indirect spend</li><li>
Demonstrated success in managing complex e-sourcing events (RFI, RFQ ,e-auctions) from strategy development to implementation</li><li>
Extensive hands-on experience with various e-auction formats and advanced bidding strategies</li><li>
Track record of delivering significant cost savings and process improvements in a global context</li><li>
Experience in driving digital transformation of procurement processes and e-sourcing tool adoption</li></ul>
Technical Skills:<ul><li>
Expert proficiency in SAP Ariba Guided Sourcing, Contracts, and Guided Buying modules, as well as SAP MM</li><li>
Advanced analytical skills with expertise in spend analysis methodologies and tools</li><li>
Strong proficiency in data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for creating impactful procurement insights</li><li>
Experience with predictive analytics and machine learning applications in procurement (preferred)</li></ul>
Soft Skills:<ul><li>
Exceptional negotiation skills with a proven history of securing favorable terms with strategic suppliers</li><li>
Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders</li><li>
Strong project management skills and experience leading cross-functional teams</li><li>
Demonstrated change management capabilities in implementing new procurement processes and technologies</li></ul>
Certifications:<ul><li>
CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or any other supply chain courses highly preferred</li></ul>

Job Description 
As part of the ERP/SAP application team you would be responsible to work with the Supply Operations to translate the needs into functional requirements which can be taken forward effectively by the technical team. You should be able to create the design at a level of detail which enables a developer to execute the configuration and the development in SAP.
You should have a good functional knowledge on SAP WM/EWM and its integration with SAP MM/PP/QM/SD and be able to exploit the best use of these modules to meet the business need in the most effective, efficient and sustainable way. You will drive overall leadership for the delivery of the enhancements and maintenance of the existing applications in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
According to your experience, strengths and business needs, you will conduct some of the following tasks:<ul><li>
Be actively involved in the user story preparation, solution conceptualization for changes as well as project implementations</li><li>
Own incident, change delivery while working in Agile/DevOps environment</li><li>
Provide solution, design, configuration and testing, be able participate in design activities and gap analysis</li><li>
Demonstrate the ability to plan, run, and manage workshops/meetings with IT &amp; business stakeholders</li><li>

A minimum of 2 full cycle of SAP WM implementation experience. Or 1 cycle</li><li>
Strong solution know-how in ECC &amp; S/4 Logistics (WM) &amp; LE Shipping such as WM Master Data, Inbound / Outbound delivery processing, Picking and Put-away strategies, Transfer Orders, Cycle Counts, Inventory reconciliation, Shipping and Transportation Management, Mobile Data Entry and RF units, Physical Inventory, RF Transactions, HU/SU Management, Transportation Units, Production &amp; Quality Integration</li><li>
Expertise in Configuration of SAP Warehouse Management (WM): Warehouse structure in WM</li><li>
Experience in Integration of WM with MM/SD/PP/QM modules</li><li>
Experienced in Testing (Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing and Integration Testing), End User training, Final preparation, Go-Live, and project support</li><li>
Sound understanding of Master Data, Functional and Document Data, integration between SAP &amp; Third-Party Warehouse and Logistics (3PL) systems is added advantage</li><li>
Good knowledge of I-docs and good understanding of Custom Fiori Apps is a plus.</li><li>
Be able to support and challenge the Partners (Vendors) on quotation of Change efforts, Oversee and support the development of the solution, Validate the functionality as per business needs, support testing and User training</li><li>
Sound understanding &amp; experience of ITIL process &amp; tool, exposure to SNOW/JIRA etc.</li></ul>
