Job Description 
<ul><li>
Lead and manage the Strategic Purchasing department with a team of managers and deputy managers</li><li>
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices</li><li>
Set departmental objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement</li><li>
Drive digital transformation initiatives in procurement processes and systems</li><li>
Establish and monitor cost reduction targets across all procurement categories (direct and indirect materials)</li><li>
Implement value engineering initiatives and total cost of ownership analysis</li><li>
Review and approve major purchase decisions, contracts, and supplier agreements</li><li>
Design and execute comprehensive supplier development programs and strategic partnerships</li><li>
Establish supplier performance evaluation frameworks and conduct quarterly business reviews</li><li>
Implement supply chain risk mitigation strategies including supplier diversification and contingency planning</li><li>
Lead critical supplier negotiations for high-value contracts and strategic agreements</li><li>
Coordinate with global sourcing teams to leverage economies of scale and best practices</li><li>
Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and sourcing opportunities</li><li>
Develop category strategies for all material groups and commodity portfolios</li><li>
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality, and Project Management teams to align procurement with business objectives</li><li>
Support new product development and project launches with strategic sourcing solutions</li><li>
Provide procurement expertise to support business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes</li><li>
Recruit, mentor, and develop procurement professionals to build a high-performing team</li><li>
Conduct performance reviews and establish individual development plans for team members</li><li>
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and professional excellence</li><li>
Ensure knowledge transfer and succession planning within the purchasing organization</li><li>
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, sourcing board protocols, and regulatory requirements</li><li>
Implement and maintain ethical sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives</li><li>
Drive SAP/ERP system optimization for procurement processes and data management</li><li>
Oversee contract management, documentation, and compliance audits</li><li>
Manage CAPEX and OPEX procurement budgets and ensure optimal resource allocation</li><li>
Present procurement performance metrics, savings achievements, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership</li><li>
Develop data-driven insights and analytics to support strategic decision-making</li></ul>
Monitor and report on supply chain risks, market dynamics, and mitigation actions 
Qualifications 
<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred)</li><li>
20+ years of progressive experience in strategic procurement and supply chain management</li><li>
At least 8-10 years in leadership roles managing procurement teams and strategic initiatives</li><li>
Proven track record in manufacturing, automation engineering, or capital equipment industry</li><li>
Deep expertise in SAP/ERP systems and procurement technologies</li><li>
Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management), or equivalent highly desirable</li></ul>
