Job Description &ndash; Accountant (Cargo Warehouse)Position: AccountantLocation: Will operate from Gulberg Corporate OfficeDepartment: Accounts &amp; FinanceReports To: Finance Manager / DirectorRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in cargo warehouse operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in accounting software and Smart Cargo software, with the ability to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Manage and record daily financial transactions related to cargo and warehouse operations.</li><li>Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers in coordination with warehouse and operations teams.</li><li>Reconcile accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely settlements with vendors, customers, and partners.</li><li>Generate monthly financial reports, including profit &amp; loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.</li><li>Monitor and record freight charges, customs expenses, handling costs, and warehouse overheads.</li><li>Maintain and update accounting entries in accounting software and Smart Cargo software.</li><li>Handle bank reconciliations, petty cash management, and payroll assistance.</li><li>Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company policies, and financial reporting standards.</li><li>Coordinate with internal teams (operations, logistics, warehouse) to ensure financial accuracy in cargo movement.</li><li>Assist in annual audits and prepare necessary financial documentation.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 3&ndash;5 years of accounting experience (preferably in a cargo warehouse / logistics / freight forwarding industry).</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, ERP systems).</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Smart Cargo software (mandatory).</li><li>Solid understanding of warehouse cost structures, freight billing, and cargo operations.</li><li>Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>High attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li></ul>What We Offer<ul><li>Competitive salary package.</li><li>Growth opportunities within a leading logistics and freight forwarding company.</li><li>Professional and collaborative working environment.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: Rs55,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per monthWork Location: In personApplication Deadline: 30/08/2024 Expected Start Date: 10/09/2025
