A Day in the Life: 
Our Outside Sales Team partners with both existing and prospective customers at their place of business, providing expert guidance on selecting, purchasing, and applying a diverse range of fasteners, industrial hardware, tools, maintenance, and shop supplies. Key industries we serve include transportation, heavy equipment, maintenance and repair departments, sand/gravel pits, and machine shops.
Successful Outside Sales Representatives excel at customer service, relationship-building, organization, and managing multiple customers and orders efficiently. This role requires regular travel, including occasional overnight trips. 
Experience and Skills:
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Deliver exceptional customer service by honoring commitments, maintaining appointments, and adhering to pre-arranged schedules.</li><li>
Engage with customers to understand their needs, identify new product opportunities, and provide solutions that enhance their operations.</li><li>
Maintain strong product knowledge, including special product requests, pricing structures, and competitive landscape awareness.</li><li>
Develop and implement an efficient route management system to optimize customer service and sales opportunities.</li><li>
Visit multiple customer locations daily to deliver and organize orders, which may involve lifting and carrying products and setting up storage bins.</li><li>
Manage customer orders with precision, utilizing remote order entry systems, maintaining accurate documentation, pricing schedules, returns, and billing details.</li><li>
Provide timely and consistent responses to customer inquiries and requests for quotes.</li><li>
Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to grow sales, including introducing new and promotional products and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.</li><li>
Foster positive working relationships with internal business partners, including Branch Managers, Inside Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse personnel, and support staff.</li><li>
Safely operate and maintain a company vehicle in compliance with driving and maintenance guidelines, as this position requires extensive travel.</li></ul>
Required Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED</li><li>
Valid Driver&rsquo;s License and ability to meet insurability requirements</li><li>
At least 2 years of Retail Experience; preferred in an industrial setting</li><li>
Outside Sales Experience preferred</li><li>
Solid math, verbal, and written communication skills</li><li>
Computer literacy</li><li>
Must be well organized and self-motivated</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze customer needs and provide effective solutions</li><li>
Sales and negotiation skills, with experience in upselling and closing deals</li><li>
Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and proactively seek out new business opportunities</li><li>
Time management and multitasking abilities to efficiently handle multiple accounts and responsibilities</li></ul>
Position requires;
<ul><li>Work in an environment that requires maintaining a consistent and often fast pace including quickly retrieving, loading, and delivering customer orders</li><li>
Standing and walking for extended periods</li><li>
Driving and operating a vehicle safely for extended periods of time</li><li>
Lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds and performing other physical demands of the job</li><li>
Frequent use of computer/keyboard/phone for customer orders, communication, and to look up inventory</li><li>
Work in various weather conditions - travel and outdoor loading/unloading may be required</li><li>
Performs repetitive movements, including but not limited to, bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the workday</li></ul>

Compensation Information:
<ul><li>Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually</li><li>
Discretionary Year End Bonus</li><li>
Company Vehicle Provided for Work and Personal Use (Ford F150) and Gas Card</li><li>
Stipend for Cellular Phone</li></ul>
