HeaderJOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianDepartment: QualityManager: Technical Manger Issue Date: Location: Katy, Texas 1. JOB OBJECTIVE&middot; Perform quality inspections on in-house manufactured &amp; vendor supplied compressor parts to ensure compliance with defined quality requirements. Maintain inspection documentation systems, support shop floor quality practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.2. JOB SCOPE&middot; Inspection of all new and repaired components to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.&middot; Maintains accurate quality records in accordance with Company quality procedure / standards.&middot; Perform first article, in-process, visual, and final inspections using hand tools and CMM equipment.&middot; Maintain and ensure proper condition, calibration, and inventory of precision inspection tools. Support calibration scheduling and coordination with external calibration providers.&middot; Maintain organization and integrity of the inspection area.&middot; Identify non-conforming products, generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and coordinate resolution with the Manufacturing Support team.&middot; Participate in root cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.&middot; Provide support to the Repair Coordinator in Repair Projects&middot; Support shop floor personnel in interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances, and quality requirements.&middot; Assist in developing and improving inspection procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).&middot; Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.&middot; Verify material certifications and maintain traceability documentation.&middot; Assist with supplier quality activities, including incoming inspections and vendor evaluations.&middot; Review and validate inspection reports and documentation for completeness and accuracy.&middot; Serve as a subject matter resource for inspection tools and measurement best practices. Train and mentor machinists and technicians on proper use of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.&middot; Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability across the shop floor.&middot; Provide technical and hands-on support to repair coordinator and interface with logistics, procurement, vendors and manufacturing support team.&middot; Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.&middot; Performs other related duties as assigned.3. EXPERIENCE AND EXPECTATIONS&middot; Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings.&middot; Strong understanding of GD&amp;T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application in inspection processes.&middot; Working Knowledge of BS, DIN, EN, ISO standards.&middot; Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacturing drawings.&middot; Familiarity with nondestructive testing (NDT) methods is a plus.&middot; Technical knowledge and experience with reciprocating compressors is advantageous.&middot; Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.&middot; Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.&middot; Demonstrates accountability and willingness to seek guidance when needed.&middot; Commitment to continuous improvement in all activities.&middot; Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems&middot; Knowledge of ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems is advantageous&middot; Proficient in the use of all handheld measuring equipment and precision tools.4. QUALIFICIATIONS/HARDWARE/SOFTWARE&middot; Associates Degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience)&middot; Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience&middot; Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.&middot; Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft CRM Dynamics and SharePoint is helpful.5. LANGAUGE SKILLS&middot; Proficient in English, both written and verbalPay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
