 Protection Engineer (Protection &amp; Control / Substation) &ndash; Oman &ndash; 8 Month Contract
 
 
 
 
 
 
 We are currently supporting a high-profile client in the power and utilities sector on an 8-month
 
 
 project in Oman.
 
 
 
 
 
 This role is focused on protection and control systems within substations and transmission networks, supporting the safe and reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work on protection and control systems for power networks
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Configure and test protection relays (ABB, Siemens, Schneider, etc.)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Support testing and commissioning activities on substations
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Ensure protection schemes are correctly implemented and functioning
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and safety
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Requirements:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience in Protection &amp; Control engineering within power systems
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience with protection relays and relay testing
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Experience working on substations or transmission networks
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Level 3 qualification in electrical/protection engineering (mandatory)
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
 </li>
 </ul>
