 About the Role
 
 
 
 The Austin office is in an exciting growth phase, and this hire is central to that trajectory. You will serve as the senior technical and project leadership presence in the office, taking ownership of project delivery while helping develop the next generation of engineers. There is also an expectation that you will contribute to business development over time, leveraging local relationships and market knowledge to help grow the practice.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key responsibilities include:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Leading all phases of commercial land development projects from planning and design through construction and close-out
 </li>
 <li>
 Serving as the primary project manager on a mix of commercial and retail projects, with exposure to other sectors
 </li>
 <li>
 Mentoring and training EITs and junior staff, building a high-performing local team
 </li>
 <li>
 Managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships
 </li>
 <li>
 Supporting business development efforts and helping build the firm's presence in the Austin market
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinating with clients, contractors, and municipal agencies, with strong knowledge of Austin codes and zoning
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Required Qualifications
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
 </li>
 <li>
 Professional Engineer (PE) license
 </li>
 <li>
 8+ years of civil engineering experience with a strong focus on land development
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrated project management and team leadership experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with Austin codes, zoning, and local market preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
 </li>

 The Role

 Manage your own book across natural gas, power, and refined products
 </li>
 <li>
 Drive strategy, manage risk, and analyze market fundamentals
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify opportunities through price action, spreads, and order flow
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate proactively on risk and P&amp;L variance to leadership
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 What They're Looking For
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 3+ years verified, risk-adjusted profitability in energy markets
 </li>
 <li>
 Prop trading or hedge fund background strongly preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Defined discretionary edge &mdash; fundamental modelling, weather, flow, or spread trading
 </li>
 <li>
 Physical trading or bank background considered
 </li>
 <li>
 Emissions, biofuels, or REC, RIN experience a bonus
 </li>
