Job Summary Taos Pueblo is seeking top-notch multi-task-oriented applicants for the full-time position of Human Resources Director to include an excellent fringe benefit package. We are in search of someone with excellent management experience and people skills who must be able to communicate effectively with personnel and agencies to administer the day-to-day activities within the office. The Human Resources Director plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety in compliance in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Collaborates with senior leadership to align HR strategies with programs goals; fosters a positive and productive work environment; Provides professional leadership, coordination and assures effective execution for programs.Duties<ul><li>Taos Pueblo is seeking someone to create, develop, implement and maintain an effective Human Resources strategy for Taos Pueblo; provide the vision, leadership and support to the Human Resources Department and Taos Pueblo employees.</li><li>Directs the establishment, implementation and communication of goals, objectives, policies and procedures in accordance with the strategic plan.</li><li>Develop and implement a strategic plan to maintain capacity to deliver effective and efficient services to Taos Pueblo.</li><li>Contribute to organizational effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues and goals that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; developing standard operating procedures; recommending options and courses of actions; implementing directives.</li><li>Prepares and presents reports on the status, activities and plans for current and future operations to the Chief Operating Officer.</li><li>Encourages a positive working relationship between departments, and the Taos Pueblo community at large.</li></ul>Education and Requirements: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in public or business administration, Human Resources, or related field plus five years&rsquo; experience leading municipal services and public projects. Three years in a supervisory capacity or a combination of education direct experience. Human Resources certification preferred. Valid New Mexico driver&rsquo;s license with ability to meet Pueblo&rsquo;s liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for insurance.
