<div>Taylor Engineering seeks to hire a detail-oriented and experienced Contract Specialist to administer and oversee all contracting and subcontracting activities for three business entities. Responsibilities include:<ul><li>
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of federal, state, county, municipal, and private contracts and subcontracts, amendments, and terminations.</li><li>
Interpret contractual terms and conditions in accordance with Taylor&rsquo;s contracting standards, business objectives, and applicable laws.</li><li>
Advise internal project teams on contractual rights, obligations, risks, and opportunities, ensuring alignment with company policies and compliance requirements.</li><li>
Negotiate critical contract provisions such as warranties, indemnities, standard of care, force majeure, limitations of liability, and negligence clauses.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple cultures and geographic regions, building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.</li><li>
Support continuous improvement in contract management lifecycle and ensure consistency in contractual standards and practices.</li><li>
Periodically review and audit contracts and subcontracts for compliance with insurance, reporting, and other contractual terms.</li></ul>
Requirements
A qualified candidate will possess the following:<ul><li>
3-5 years relevant experience in contract management or procurement, with a minimum of two in Federal contracting</li><li>
Coursework in business law or contract law</li><li>
Knowledge of all contract types (T&amp;M, FFP, Cost Plus, etc.)</li><li>
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with contractors, engineers, and government agencies.</li><li>
Ability to negotiate contract terms, balancing advocating for the company with maintaining long-term relationships with clients and subcontractors</li><li>
Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities</li><li>
Highly detail-oriented and ability to work independently</li></ul>
Preferred but Not Required<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration or legal studies</li><li>
Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM)</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Sitting for extended periods of time</li><li>
Possesses acceptable vision (with or without corrective lenses) to be able to see and navigate a computer screen
