<div></div><div><b>POSITION SUMMARY</b></div>
<div>The Staff Dentist is responsible for providing quality dental care to patients of all ages. Provides operational assistance to assure quality of care and service in a cost-effective manner, which is consistent with the applicable state standards for licensure for the position and the organizational practice guidelines.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Dental Responsibilities</b></div>
<ul><li>Provide dental services in an outpatient setting in an organized and efficient manner.</li>
<li>Provide comprehensive oral health care through treatment with preventive and restorative techniques or through referrals to outside sources for services beyond the scope of organizational practice.</li>
<li>Prescribe and/or plan appropriate and effective treatment.</li>
<li>Ensures integration of patient education into all treatment phases.</li>
<li>Effectively document patient visit notes, orders, calls, clinical or other records as required.</li>
<li>Demonstrates teamwork by working effectively with all team members, attending and participating actively in group meetings, and conferring with leadership.</li>
<li>Participates in the school based, mobile, and external rotation dental programs and grants as needed.</li>
<li>Participates in QI meetings, peer review sessions, and special projects or activities that promote continuous improvement.</li>
</ul><div><b>Qualifications</b></div>
<ul><li>Active Illinois Dental License in good standing</li>
<li>DMD or DDS degree from an accredited program</li>
<li>Active DEA registration</li>
<li>Current BLS certification</li>
