 Summary/Objective
 
 
 
 The Janitor performs routine and non-routine cleaning and special projects as the need arises. The Janitor is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing offices, meeting rooms, bathrooms, cafeterias and public areas.
 
 
 
 Essential Functions

 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform general clean-up of assigned areas of the building following a weekly schedule, and at miscellaneous times, as directed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage routine upkeep of exterior areas as assigned.
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Remove garbage and recycling daily and prepare bins for weekly pick-up. Dispose of trash and recycling into compactor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests, including Bloodborne Pathogen Safety Cleaning.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure rooms are maintained and fully equipped.
 </li>
 <li>
 Wash floors, strip and polish floors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Routinely clean offices, cubicles, dust, vacuum, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Handle janitorial request list on clipboard, and perform other janitorial duties as requested.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with snow removal, sand and salt when required.

 Effective written and verbal communication skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to work early morning or late night shifts; alternating Saturdays.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
 </li>

 Capacity to take direction.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong time management skills and attention to details and thoroughness.
 </li>
 <li>
 Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessary.

 This position has no supervisory responsibility.
 
 
 
 Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
 
 
 
 This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional overtime as deemed by management and production needs. Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.

 No travel is expected for this position.
 
 
 
 Required Education And Experience

 High school diploma or GED.
 
 
 </li>

 Preferred Education And Experience

 One year of related experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Additional education or experience.
 
 
 </li>

 Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)

 Salary Range: $17.50-$22.75/hour
 
 
 This is the full salary range for the position. Most new hires can expect to start around $17.50/hour.
 
 
 Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
