Essential Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Processes weekly payrolls. Works daily with the automated payroll system time clock data to ensure all accuracy of punches.</li><li>Interfaces daily with employees, supervisors and managers to ensure all time clock punches for late, early, missing and PTO times are properly noted and recorded.</li><li>Reviews payroll reports for accuracy, general ledger reporting, funding and deductions.</li><li>Prepares check requests and wage verifications as needed.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining vacation and sick time for eligible employees.</li><li>Enters 401(K) contributions, matches and loans into the system.</li><li>Prepares annual census for medical/401K/pension plan and completes any government reporting.</li><li>Enters new hires, complete E-Verify, CT State Employee reporting and records changes affecting wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and wage garnishments for each employee to update master payroll records.</li><li>Coordination of temporary employees with Agencies &amp; Supervisors, prepares weekly list and records attendance.</li><li>Completes brief orientation and safety training with all temporary hires within the first day of hire.</li><li>Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions, including ACA reporting.</li><li>Assists with Insurance during open enrollment and plans one on one meeting with new hires for enrollment.</li><li>Assists with 401K enrollment as needed and provides documents for approval to the Administrator and Empower.</li><li>Maintain the frozen pension files for calculations, payments and changes including census.</li><li>Posts Birthday List, mails Birthday cards and update phone lists as needed.</li><li>Assists in maintaining all HR files, including I-9 current/terminated employees.</li><li>Posts &ldquo;Days w/o Accident&rdquo; &amp; Monthly Safety Theme.</li><li>Responsible for all new hire orientation, On-Boarding, paperwork, review of the handbook, safety training, etc.</li><li>Assists with Workman&rsquo;s Comp filing and reporting as needed and replenishes 1st Aid supplies.</li><li>Prepares Safety Meeting Minutes and updates Emergency Evacuation Books.</li><li>Maintains time and attendance on a daily basis.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining vacation and sick for hourly and salary employees.</li><li>Orders all office supplies as needed.</li><li>Perform other similar or related duties as required or directed.</li></ul>Required Qualifications: Education/Experience: Associate&rsquo;s (AA) degree or equivalent in related field; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Physical Demands: The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and sit and have the ability to stretch and reach. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Desired Competencies: SHRM Certified Bi-lingual &ndash; Spanish and English Paycor HRIS/Payroll experienceWork Environment: The work environment is in an office but occasionally may interact with the factory.
