Job description:Wind Technician Level I Tech Wind Services &ndash; McKinney, TX Travel Required: Up to 100%Tech Wind Services provides specialized wind energy inspection and repair services for the North American market. Our company assists the wind farms during construction, operations, and preventive maintenance to guarantee clean and renewable wind energy power production. Each turbine we work on provides enough energy to power 3,000 homes per month.Tech Wind Services is also the leader in Brazil and Argentina for wind tower inspection services.Job Summary: Responsible for assisting Senior Wind Technicians in maintaining, inspecting, and providing preventative maintenance and repairs on Wind Blades, Towers and Turbines.Tech Wind Services will provide safety training as well as on the job training.Duties/Responsibilities:<ul><li>Perform basic mechanical installations, maintenances, operations, and upgrades.</li><li>Repair, inspect , paint, or replace parts on wind towers.</li><li>Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customer&rsquo;s requirements.</li><li>Perform work based on established work procedures.</li><li>Follow all assigned Environmental, Health and Safety procedures.</li><li>Dismantle and assemble basic machinery, components, equipment, or tooling.</li><li>Perform routine inspections &ndash; safely using tools.</li></ul>Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>One year of mechanical or electrical experience preferred but not required.</li><li>General knowledge of hand and power tools and use of power tools.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work in all weather conditions.</li><li>Ability to climb a wind turbine up to 300 feet.</li><li>Must be comfortable working at heights of up to 300 feet.</li><li>Must be dependable and willing to complete the project at hand from start to finish.</li><li>Must be local to the Dallas Fort-Worth Metroplex.</li><li>Must be willing to travel up to 90% of the time.</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds.</li><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license.</li><li>Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass background and drug screening.</li></ul>Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredWind Technical School is a plusPay: $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Safety equipment provided</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
