SUMMARY OF POSITION</b></p></div><div></div><p>
The Strategic Sourcing Manager &ndash; Raw Materials/Resins is responsible for sourcing critical raw materials and resins. This role requires raw material and resin (plastics) industry expertise in supplier relationship management, negotiation, cost analysis, and strategic sourcing to ensure optimal quality, pricing, and delivery schedules of materials and components.</p><p><b>
JOB DUTIES &amp; ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></p><p>

Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure high-quality components, materials, and services required for production and maintenance</li><li>
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers/vendors while fostering long-term partnerships to ensure a reliable supply chain</li><li>
Negotiate contracts, terms, pricing, and agreements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or delivery</li><li>
Cultivate and manage strong relationships with suppliers, monitoring performance and adherence to quality, cost, and delivery standards</li><li>
Collaborate cross-functional improving engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to address supplier-related issues and improve processes</li><li>
Conduct annual supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement</li><li>
Analyze cost structures, market trends, and pricing to optimize purchasing decisions and reduce costs without sacrificing quality or reliability</li><li>
Develop and manage budgets for procurement activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cost-saving initiatives</li><li>
Manage and maintain contracts, agreements, and purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards</li><li>
Oversee documentation, track purchases, and maintain accurate records of procurement activities</li><li>
Support AP department to fix any payment issues that affect supply chain</li><li>
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process, implementing best practices, and innovative strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs</li><li>
Stay updated with market trends, new technologies, and industry developments to leverage opportunities for process enhancement and innovation</li><li>
This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Supervisor immediately</li></ul><div><p><b>
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES):</b></p></div><div></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field</li><li>
5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management of raw material/resins, preferably in the automotive industry for OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers</li><li>
Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Proficiency in procurement tools/software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office (proficient in excel)</li><li>
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities</li><li>
Comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes, logistics, and inventory management</li><li>
Knowledge of automotive/trucking industry regulations, standards, and market trends</li><li>
Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage complex projects effectively</li></ul><p>
