JOB DESCRIPTION<ul><li>
Leads and participates in the application upgrades, maintenance, support and modernization of systems and software to ensure stability and compliance to technology standards.</li><li>
Performs maintenance, including installation of patches and upgrades. Coordinates with delivery teams to ensure changes are implemented in order to maintain a stable production environment.</li><li>
Incident detection, resolution and/or escalation. Assists in to Analyze and identify root cause of incidents. Gathers information and reports out on design, reliability, maintenance problems and bugs.</li><li>
Educates and coaches more junior staff to ensures in depth knowledge of supported systems and applications.</li><li>
Leads application governance, such as required attestations, continuity testing, impact analysis, responding to audit/regulatory inquiries and complying with technology standards.</li></ul>

We are seeking an experienced Lead API Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs for backend microservices in a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Java and Spring Boot expertise, with proven experience integrating with cloud-based Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) systems. This role demands full DevOps lifecycle ownership, from development to deployment, with strong skills in automation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Design, develop, and deploy RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.</li><li>
Integrate microservices with cloud-based CCaaS systems in a secure and scalable way.</li><li>
Lead API architecture discussions, ensuring robust design and version control.</li><li>
Own the full DevOps cycle for APIs: build, test, deploy, monitor, and support.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, QA, and business stakeholders.</li></ul>
Required Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
7+ years of experience in backend/API development, with at least 5 years in Java and Spring Boot.</li><li>
Strong expertise in REST API design and microservice architecture.</li><li>
Experience integrating with cloud-based CCaaS platforms in a financial services context.</li><li>
Proficient in DevOps tools and practices:</li><li>
CI/CD with Jenkins</li><li>
API gateway and security with Datapower</li><li>
Web application security with Akamai</li><li>
Source control using Git</li><li>
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across the development lifecycle.</li><li>
Solid understanding of API security, OAuth, and data protection in financial systems.
