The Metal Panel Fabricator is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and preparing architectural metal wall panels to meet project specifications. This position plays a key role in ensuring our metal systems are fabricated safely, accurately, and efficiently while upholding Mahaney&rsquo;s reputation for quality craftsmanship.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities<ul><li>
Review daily work assignments with the superintendent and plan fabrication tasks accordingly.</li><li>
Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine material needs, layouts, and fabrication sequences.</li><li>
Fabricate panels according to precise dimensions and tolerances.</li><li>
Measure, mark, and cut aluminum composite panels using CNC routers, panel saws, shears, or other cutting equipment.</li><li>
Rout, fold, bend, and form ACM panels using brake presses, routers, and clamping systems.</li><li>
Fabricate ACM/MCM metal panels with attention to panel joints and structural performance.</li><li>
Assemble panels using fasteners, adhesives, and sealants as specified in fabrication manuals or drawings.</li><li>
Inspect fabricated panels for dimensional accuracy, finish quality, and consistency before delivery or installation.</li><li>
Maintain fabrication equipment, ensuring blades, bits, and tooling are in proper working condition.</li><li>
Keep fabrication areas clean and organized, returning tools and materials to their proper locations.</li><li>
Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or design discrepancies to the superintendent promptly.</li></ul> 
 
What You Bring 
Required<ul><li>
Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing, ideally with ACM or panel systems.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.</li><li>
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery (brake press, shear, router, etc.).</li><li>
Basic math and measurement skills, including ability to convert fractions and decimals.</li><li>
Strong attention to detail, precision, and safety awareness.</li><li>
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>
Experience fabricating ACM panels</li><li>
Forklift or material handling experience.</li><li>
Familiarity with CNC routing and computer-based layout software.</li><li>
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.</li></ul>

Physical Demands &amp; Working Conditions 
Environment: Work performed primarily in a fabrication shop environment with exposure to machinery, tools, noise, aluminum dust, and temperature variations. Occasional outdoor or field exposure may be required. 
Physical Effort: Regularly required to stand, lift, bend, and use tools or operate machinery. Must be able to lift 75 lbs and maintain steady hand-eye coordination for detailed tasks. 
Hours: Full-time position with varying hours based on workload and project schedules. Overtime may be required.
