Job Title: Safety Officer &ndash; Solar ProjectsLocation: Multiple Site locations in AP, TG and KA Job Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a motivated Safety Officer with 2&ndash;3 years of experience in solar project sites to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. The Safety Officer will support the Site Manager and project team in implementing site safety protocols, conducting inspections, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of site staff.This role is critical to maintaining zero-incident operations in line with organizational and statutory requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Implementation &amp; Monitoring<ul><li>Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies at site.</li><li>Conduct site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.</li><li>Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and project safety plans.</li><li>Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all site personnel.</li></ul>Training &amp; Awareness<ul><li>Conduct safety inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors.</li><li>Organize toolbox talks, safety drills, and awareness sessions.</li><li>Support the Site Manager in promoting a strong safety culture across teams.</li></ul>Incident Management<ul><li>Record and investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses.</li><li>Prepare reports and recommend preventive measures.</li><li>Maintain records of safety observations, audits, and corrective actions.</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Documentation<ul><li>Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations and company guidelines.</li><li>Maintain HSE logs, permits, and documentation for audits and inspections.</li><li>Coordinate with third-party auditors, consultants, and local authorities.</li></ul>Support to Site Operations<ul><li>Assist site engineers and supervisors in planning safe work practices.</li><li>Monitor high-risk activities (working at heights, electrical works, heavy lifting, etc.).</li><li>Ensure emergency equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.) is in place and functional.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree / Diploma in Engineering or Safety Management (preferred).</li><li>2&ndash;3 years of experience in solar project sites or renewable energy projects.</li><li>Strong knowledge of safety protocols in construction and electrical works.</li><li>Certification in NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA / Diploma in Industrial Safety preferred.</li><li>Good understanding of HSE regulations, IEC/IS codes, and statutory compliance.</li><li>Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to train and influence workers at all levels.</li><li>Willingness to be stationed at project sites full-time.</li></ul>Key Skills<ul><li>Site safety monitoring &amp; hazard identification</li><li>Accident investigation &amp; reporting</li><li>Conducting safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions</li><li>Knowledge of electrical and construction site safety standards</li><li>Documentation and compliance management</li><li>MNRE (India) or local renewable energy authority requirements</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li></ul>Candidate ProfileWe are looking for a proactive safety professional who:<ul><li>Has hands-on experience in solar or renewable project sites.</li><li>Is detail-oriented, vigilant, and committed to a zero-incident culture.</li><li>Can effectively communicate and enforce safety protocols with workers and contractors.</li><li>Thrives in fast-paced site environments and adapts quickly to changing conditions.</li><li>Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and a genuine passion for workplace safety.</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>Competitive salary package</li><li>Opportunity to build a career in the fast-growing solar industry</li><li>Professional development through training and certifications</li><li>Work on landmark renewable projects with strong organizational support</li></ul>How to Apply: Apply directly through Indeed with your updated resume and relevant safety certifications.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;14,386.09 - &#8377;39,000.57 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Food provided</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Work Location: In person
