The Process Engineer plays a key, hands-on role in the daily operation, optimization, and growth of Tedia&rsquo;s high-purity solvent manufacturing processes. This position bridges production, quality, maintenance, and R&amp;D. They drive operational excellence through process improvement, troubleshooting, and technology scale-up. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise in chemical processing with a practical understanding of plant operations.</p></div></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Essential Duties:</b></p><div><p><b><br>
Safety &amp; Quality</b></p><ul><li>
Champion Tedia&rsquo;s Safety Culture by applying Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Program (RMP), and other hazard-reduction best practices.</li><li>
Support Tedia&rsquo;s Quality Culture by following all documented procedures, specifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Process Operations and Optimization</b></p><ul><li>
Monitor daily batch and continuous distillation and solvent purification operations to ensure consistent, on-spec production.</li><li>
Lead troubleshooting of process upsets or deviations to minimize downtime and product loss.</li><li>
Analyze and optimize purification steps such as forerun/tail control, reflux ratio, and column performance to improve yield and throughput.</li><li>
Identify and implement projects that remove bottlenecks, improve energy efficiency, or increase capacity.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Technical and Analytical Support</b></p><ul><li>
Develop and maintain clear process documentation, SOPs, batch records, P&amp;IDs, and trend groups</li><li>
Work with QC and Analytical teams to interpret GC and purity data, correlating results to process variables and operating conditions</li><li>
Collaborate with R&amp;D to scale new products and purification technologies from lab to production, ensuring smooth technology transfer.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><br>
Capital Projects</b></p><ul><li>
Manage small-to-medium capital projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and on-spec execution</li><li>
Identify, scope, and justify capital improvements to support safety, quality, reliability, and capacity goals.</li><li>
Support the Production Manager and Engineering team in long-range capital planning aligned with plant growth objectives.</li></ul></div></div></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Success Criteria:</b></p><br>
<ul><li>
Complete process improvement projects delivering annualized savings through efficiency, yield, or utility reduction</li><li>
Successfully lead small-to-medium capital projects (typically &lt;$250K) from concept through commissioning, meeting cost, schedule, and performance targets.</li><li>
Maintain updated and accurate P&amp;IDs, SOPs, and safety-critical documents</li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
Supervisory Responsibility:</b></p><br>

Required Education and Experience:</b></p><div><br>
<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Chemical Engineering</li><li>
3+ Years in an engineering role</li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential</li></ul></div></div><p></p><div><p><b><br>
