Overview:

The Marketing Specialist coordinates the planning and management of marketing, sales, and promotion for the organization's products, services, and brand. This role directs marketing and advertising activities and is involved in developing business plans and strategies that support the credit union's strategic objectives. Additionally, the Marketing Specialist ensures all marketing initiatives are executed within the allocated budget and consistently communicates campaign performance and outcomes to key stakeholders.

Contributes to the development of the strategic marketing plan and budget based on corporate objectives determined by the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
<ul><li>
Supports the planning, implementation, and analysis of community relations and marketing strategies to further the Credit Union's mission and objectives.</li><li>
Selects cost-effective marketing channels to promote and expand our brand.</li><li>
Helps determine budget requirements for the year and for specific projects or events, tracks and reconciles budget activities, and prepares forecasts and projections.</li><li>
Monitors marketing strategy outcomes and prepares comprehensive reports including data analysis and relevant feedback.</li><li>
Provides management with regular updates on progress toward established objectives and communicates any significant issues as they arise.</li></ul>

Advertising and Promotions
<ul><li>
Coordinates multiple internal departments and initiatives, often working with the internal operations team and stakeholders to ensure that the organization is prioritizing marketing efforts that drive member growth, accounts, and awareness.</li><li>
Directs the development and implementation of promotional campaigns, and all publications, media and in-branch advertising, direct mail, trade shows, and online communications.</li><li>
Oversees print, website, and digital projects to maintain and enhance the TelComm brand; drives member growth and satisfaction, and contributes to website content to boost SEO.</li><li>
Maintains brand consistency in voice, messaging, and editorial style across channels, while adapting language and tone to suit the product, medium, and audience.</li><li>
Prepares and reviews marketing materials for grammar, accuracy, standards compliance, and professionalism before publication.</li><li>
Establishes, follows, and meets deadlines for promotions, projects, events, and other assignments. Tasks are prioritized to ensure deadlines are achieved.</li><li>
Delivers marketing support for cross-departmental projects, ensuring consistent and prompt communication with all CU departments regarding ongoing marketing activities.</li><li>
Stays updated on legal, regulatory, economic, competitive, and technological changes impacting marketing, and ensures materials comply with federal and state regulations.</li></ul>

Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities):

Education and Experience Requirements: Three years to five years of similar or related experience

Preferred Knowledge: General knowledge of financial services. Basic understanding of Credit Union operations.
