</b></div><div><div><p>The A&amp;E Designer II is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of moderate to advanced complexity construction drawings for telecommunication projects. The A&amp;E Designer II is responsible for addressing the fit-up, feasibility, and accuracy of proposed scope of work and working with senior staff to remedy or communicate alternatives with project management. This position requires basic mathematics skills, moderate special reasoning skills, and professional written and verbal communication skills. The A&amp;E Designer II will use AutoCAD almost exclusively for drafting and design as well as Microsoft Office Suite, PDF editing, and web-based workflow management systems. Responsibilities may include occasional travel for site walks.
</p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities
</b></p><p>The A+E Designer II is responsible for duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:
</p><ul><li>Convert field notes, architectural, engineering and/or plan sketches into working construction drawings using AutoCAD per customer specifications.
</li><li>Revise construction drawings per customer and internal redlines.
</li><li>Maintain familiarity with individual client requirements and adapt to new client preferences.
</li><li>Work collaboratively with the Structural and A&amp;E groups to prepare, draft, and review structural and A&amp;E drawings.
</li><li>Perform moderate to advanced CAD tasks including structural modification and construction drawings for zoning purposes.
</li><li>Manage timelines and deliverable quality on small to medium-sized projects with the assistance of the Engineering Manager / A&amp;E Manager.
</li><li>Performs detailed checking and redlines work performed by others on assigned project(s).
</li><li>Work with A&amp;E Manager to develop new templates, tool palettes, macros, LISPs, and other time saving processes.
</li><li>Ensure accurate project status tracking to facilitate project management reporting.
</li><li>Performs site visits as needed to document field conditions for new sites and site modification projects.
</li></ul><p><b>Managerial Responsibility

</li><li>Regular deliverable product review responsibility over peers and junior staff
</li></ul><p><b>Travel/Shift Requirements
</b></p><ul><li>Less than 5% travel may be required in support of the position&rsquo;s responsibilities.
</li></ul><p><b>Physical Demands
</b></p><p>Office work is sedentary in a normal office environment that requires the following activities:
</p><ul><li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time.
</li><li>Ability to move about the office to access office machinery, attend meetings, etc.
</li><li>Must be able to operate a computer and all required programs.
</li><li>Occasional moving of office supplies up to 10 pounds.
</li></ul><p>Field work will be exposed to current weather elements and requires the following:
</p><ul><li>Ability to open locks, open / close gates and door
</li><li>Ability to ascend a ladder to obtain measurements, pictures, etc.
</li></ul><p><b>Skills and Abilities Required
</b></p><ul><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD required; experience with AutoCAD 2015 or newer preferred.
</li><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD work functions including paper space/model space, scaled viewports, blocks, text fields, dynamic blocks, libraries, and templates required.
</li><li>Strong computer skills required, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
</li><li>Ability to review both technical and non-technical aspects of field work.
</li><li>Ability to review work completed by others and adequately convey required corrections.
</li><li>Effectively communicate and work with both internal Engineering and Project Management teams as well as customers.
</li><li>Ability to set priorities for self and others and work in a fast-paced environment.
</li><li>Ability to efficiently multi-task and work on several projects simultaneously.
</li>Ability to sketch site layout and surrounding areas, read and take measurements.<br>

<b>Education and Experience Required
</b></p><ul><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree involving drafting and architecture/engineering preferred.
</li>3-6 years of telecom CAD design experience preferred, alternately 4-8 years of CAD design experience in a related field.<br>
