Position Background and Scope
Teledyne Brown Engineering has provided software engineering, modeling and simulation, and advanced analytics in support of DoD operational readiness since 2001.
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Advanced Analytics team whose mission is to provide insights and solve problems in support of DoD missions and force readiness.
This team provides custom analytic findings and develops, maintains, and delivers decision support capability tools for DoD customers to include administrators and planners at Echelons I, II, and III. The primary objective of the role is to work directly with our customers to identify requirements, develop decision support tools, and support the customer community in their use of the tools.

Position Summary
Teledyne is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics efforts supporting Department of Defense healthcare and readiness initiatives. The candidate will work with internal subject matter experts, data scientists, Power Platform developers, UX/UI designers, and data engineers to identify opportunities and to execute and maintain projects of executive interest.
The candidate will work with internal and external (Government) leadership, managers, and technical staff across DoD organizations and develop technical solutions for complex business and operational problems. The candidate will participate in the planning and development of data products, dashboards, predictive models, and decision support tools that enable data-driven decision-making at senior leadership levels.
This is a hybrid remote work position while residing within commuting distance of Falls Church, VA to support occasional in-person meetings. Position will require occasional travel in support of customer requirements.
Position Responsibilities<ul><li>
Work closely with customers, managers, and technical teams to define program scope, goals, and deliverables</li><li>
Lead and manage a team of data scientists and analysts to develop long-term analytic products</li><li>
Direct and execute advanced analytics, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning</li><li>
Develop interactive dashboards and Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to deliver actionable insights and decision support capabilities</li><li>
Respond to ad hoc requests for rapid analysis to support operational and strategic decisions</li><li>
Prepare and present briefings, reports, and visualizations for senior leaders and stakeholders</li><li>
Provide leadership for multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative environment</li><li>
Collaborate with other team leads that are geographically dispersed to align and share resources when needed</li><li>
Author and review technical documentation to ensure quality and accuracy</li><li>
Drive continuous improvement of analytic methodologies, tools, and workflows</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Strong experience applying data science, statistics, and operations research techniques</li><li>
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL</li><li>
Experience developing data visualizations and dashboards</li><li>
Experience leading analytic projects and mentoring team members</li><li>
Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)</li><li>
Experience working with DoD or Military Health System data preferred</li></ul>
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, including leadership experience. Master's degree preferred.
Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Possesses or is able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Job Summary:
The Senior Director of Quality will be directly responsible monitoring and improving the quality and reliability of all products in a $500M business unit designing, producing and servicing across the world. This leader will be responsible for leadership of a team of more than 30 people as well as influencing the priorities and work of hundreds of people.
They will serve as the primary contact regarding quality and regulatory issues with senior government and customer leaders and lead efforts to resolve any concerns. This person will determine and implement actions to ensure compliance with additional standards such as airworthiness and EHS. They will coordinate extensively with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Programs, and other groups to drive organizational improvements.
Primary Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Ensuring a safe workplace, including improving safety procedures and culture</li><li>
Ensuring successful certification audits to ISO9001 and AS9100 standards worldwide</li><li>
Understanding and implementing actions to meet ever-changing market certification requirements including airworthiness, REACH/RoHS and environmental sustainability.</li><li>
Management of a 30 person staff consisting of:<ul><li>
3 large site Quality managers</li><li>
Matrix management of 4 additional smaller site Quality leaders</li><li>

Experience Preference:<ul><li>
