Facilities Maintenance CoordinatorTemple Chai, a thriving and growing Reform Jewish congregation of more than 500 member families in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time Maintenance Person The ideal candidate will be reliable, friendly, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment. There are daytime AND evening hours (hours are approx. 1:00pm-9:30pm), including Saturday hours. During the busy holiday seasons, your hours will be increased. This is a physical job and experience in making repairs is a plus. Outstanding customer service is important, as there is constant interaction with our members and staff.The primary responsibilities are:<ul><li>Make plumbing and carpentry repairs as needed.</li><li>Maintain outside landscape (mowing, leaf blowing, weeding, etc.)</li><li>Provides set-up/tear-down support for the use of all general areas, to include tables, chairs, audio-visual equipment (programming (turning on soundboard, cameras, setting up microphones and speakers, etc.), and sound equipment for services, events, and rentals.</li><li>Perform kitchen tasks including coffee service, purchasing and arranging Friday nosh trays, kitchen clean-up, and washing dishes. This includes completing Food Services Training/Certificate</li><li>Clean classrooms, large social spaces and bathrooms</li><li>Using equipment: vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaners</li><li>Collecting and taking out trash and recycling</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>Strong knowledge and skill of custodial maintenance tasks required in a multi-use facility</li><li>Demonstrates initiative, dependability, resourcefulness, and the ability to work effectively with a team and community</li><li>Able to work and complete assignments with minimal supervision</li><li>Must be able to communicate effectively</li><li>Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license</li><li>Able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis</li><li>Ability to have a flexible schedule</li></ul>Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and should be submitted to Temple Chai&rsquo;s Executive Director, Wendy Cohen: wcohen@templechai.comJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have experience in making plumbing and other minor repairs?</li><li>Are you able to move furniture and make several room set ups?
