 Position : Data Scientist &ndash; Analytics &amp; ML
 
 
 Location : Terex MP NI site (Omagh, Dungannon, Campsie or Ballymoney)
 
 
 Reporting to : Manager, Business Solutions
 
 
 This role will support the Terex Materials Processing (MP) business by delivering data‑driven insights and AI‑enabled solutions that improve decision‑making across operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams. Working closely with our business stakeholders to identify opportunities where analytics, machine learning, and AI can drive measurable value, and translate data into practical insights that support operational efficiency, cost optimization, and performance improvement. The individual will contribute to AI and advanced analytics projects across MP, supporting activities such as data exploration, model development, dashboarding, and insight generation, while working within established enterprise data platforms and governance frameworks. This is a hands‑on role focused on applied analytics and real business outcomes
 
 
 Main responsibilities will include
 
 
 Business understanding &amp; insight delivery
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain a strong understanding of MP business processes across operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial functions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with MP business units, Operations Managers, and the Digital Transformation team to identify data, analytics, and AI opportunities and define the optimal course of action.
 </li>
 <li>
 Translate business challenges into practical analytics and AI use cases with clear outcomes.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Data analytics, AI &amp; insight generation
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Deliver data driven insights using descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics to support operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and performance improvement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to AI and machine learning initiatives across MP, supporting activities such as: Data exploration and preparation, Model development and evaluation, Dashboarding and insight generation
 </li>
 <li>
 Support data ingestion, preparation, and rationalisation for analytics and AI projects.
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Data platforms, integration &amp; tooling
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Work with enterprise data platforms and cloud data environments (e.g. AWS Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Server or similar) to access and analyse data.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain visualisations and dashboards using Power BI or similar BI platforms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with the wider IT team on integration solutions across the application landscape, including AI/ML solutions, reporting tools, MES platforms, and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle).
 
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Experience And Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Data, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or similar).
 </li>
 <li>
 Practical experience working with data, analytics, and AI / machine learning techniques in a business environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience using analytics or ML programming languages and tools (e.g. Python, SQL or similar).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working with enterprise data platforms and cloud data environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience designing and delivering analytics or reporting solutions (e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Grafana or similar).
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of enterprise systems and data integration (e.g. ERP, MES, operational systems).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working within data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work effectively across IT and business teams, communicating with stakeholders at different levels and across geographies.

What you&rsquo;ll do:
Lead quality execution on the production floor and ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements. Own quality issues from identification through containment, root cause, and corrective action.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Lead response to customer and internal quality issues, including containment, root cause, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)</li><li>
Direct in-process and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with quality standards</li><li>
Lead problem solving with engineering and operations to identify root cause and implement corrections</li><li>
Ensure inspection of incoming materials, components, and finished products meets requirements</li><li>
Analyze and report quality data to identify trends and drive improvement actions</li><li>
Develop and maintain inspection methods, standards, and documentation</li><li>
Manage non-conformance processes, including documentation, escalation, and resolution</li><li>
Support supplier quality issues and follow up on corrective actions</li><li>
Provide updates in daily operations and weekly Quality Review meetings</li><li>
Reinforce expected quality behaviors, including stopping work when standards are not met</li><li>
Hire, train, and develop team members within the Quality Department</li><li>

What you&rsquo;ll bring:
Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
2&ndash;3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing</li><li>
2&ndash;3 years of experience in quality, quality assurance, or operations</li><li>
Experience using Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and quality systems</li><li>
Experience with root cause and corrective actions (8D, 5 Why, CAPA)</li><li>
Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.3 weld standards</li><li>
Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings (GD&amp;T preferred)</li><li>
Experience with measurement tools and inspection methods</li><li>
Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement methods</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree or technical training, or equivalent experience</li></ul>
Salary: The salary range for this position is $76,500-$93,500. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
