What you'll do:</div><ul><li>
Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures</li><li>
Have ability to operate various types of welding machines on various materials: Short arc, stick, FCAW on X1050, T-1, etc</li><li>
Operate stationary and/or portable grinders and pneumatic chipping hammers to remove excess metal, oxidation and foreign matter from weldments and structures</li><li>
Operate material handling equipment to move parts and materials, as needed</li><li>
Read and interpret blueprints. Capable of working from drawings, sketches, templates, temporary stop gauging devices and patterns, as well as set up jigs and fixtures. Access computer terminals</li><li>
Comply with TEREX Utilities quality standards through error prevention and by meeting such requirements with zero defects</li><li>
Follow and promote The Terex Way Values</li><li>
Compliance with all applicable occupational health and safety required</li><li>
Perform other functions as needed</li></ul><div></div><div>
What you'll bring:</div><div>
Basic Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
High school diploma and/or equivalent experience</li><li>
0-2 years of manufacturing experience</li><li>
Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and 40-100 lbs. with assistance of others or lifting equipment provided</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred Qualifications:</div><ul><li>
Possess good mechanical aptitude</li><li>
Capable of using most hand tools</li><li>
Understand and follow verbal and written instructions</li><li>
Recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to minimize risks</li><li>
Ability to read and understand blueprints, order acknowledgement, engineering drawings and written instruction</li><li>
Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude</li><li>
Ability to safely and efficiently operate welding equipment, forklifts and overhead cranes</li><li>
Atmospheric exposure to dust, and vapors</li><li>
Certain personal protective equipment is required</li></ul><div></div><div>
The compensation range for this position is $22.84-$27.94 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.</div><div></div><div>

As a Welder at Terex, based in Huron, SD, you turn raw steel into the structural foundations of our utility trucks and equipment that keep people safe.</div><div></div><div>
What you'll do:</div><ul><li>
Build critical structures: Fit, tack, and weld steel components for aerial devices and digger derricks using GMAW/FCAW processes, following approved weld procedures and engineering drawings.</li><li>
Own quality at the arc: Read and interpret blueprints and WPS, set up jigs/fixtures, prep and finish welds (grinding/chipping), and perform in‑process checks so work meets spec the first time.</li><li>
Work safely&mdash;every time: Follow Terex &ldquo;Zero Harm&rdquo; expectations, required PPE, hot‑work controls, and LOTO when applicable; keep work areas orderly and hazard‑free.</li><li>
Move materials confidently: Use overhead cranes and material‑handling equipment to stage, position, and transfer parts safely and efficiently</li><li>
Collaborate to improve: Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and your team to solve problems, reduce rework/distortion, and support continuous improvement and 5S.</li><li>
Grow your skills: Participate in training (including weld school/skills development and, where applicable, robotic welding) to expand capabilities and progress through defined skill levels.</li></ul><div></div><div>
What you'll bring:</div><ul><li>
High school diploma or GED.</li><li>
Experience welding steel using GMAW (MIG) and/or FCAW in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions.</li><li>
Working knowledge of weld quality standards and the ability to perform basic visual inspections.</li><li>
Ability to safely use overhead cranes, hoists, and material‑handling equipment (or willingness to be trained).</li><li>
Strong commitment to safety, including consistent use of PPE and adherence to hot‑work requirements.</li><li>
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning materials.</li><li>
Reliable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts (including weekends, if applicable).</li></ul><div></div><div>
Preferred</div><ul><li>
Technical diploma or coursework in welding or fabrication.</li><li>
Previous experience welding structural or heavy‑gauge steel.</li><li>
Familiarity with AWS welding standards.</li><li>
Experience working in a team‑based manufacturing environment.</li><li>
Willingness to learn additional processes, including robotic welding or advanced fabrication skills.</li></ul><div></div><div>
The salary range for this position is $22.84 to $27.94 per hour.
