Southaven, MS / 6:00am-2:30pm / Monday-Friday 
Join our team at Genie and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Traffic Dispatcher to contribute to the Southaven Team.

As a Traffic Dispatcher at Genie, based in Southaven, MS, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and expediting shipping and customer delivery activities from the company&rsquo;s centralized shipping station, directing local and over-the-road truck drivers. 
 
What you&rsquo;ll do 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
<ul><li>Coordinate the flow of traffic between shipping Ports, rail heads, equipment depots and Terex AWP and their shipping departments.</li><li>
Control paperwork flow between all shipping facilities and the International/Domestic Traffic departments</li><li>
Must have extensive knowledge of Dept. of Transportation (DOT) regulations and basic Hazardous Materials regulations</li><li>
Assist in direction/sequence of loading shipping containers, flatbed and dry trailers</li><li>
Coordination with trucking companies freight forwarders to monitor booking changes and issues</li><li>
Emergency backup driver capability</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position</li></ul> 
What you&rsquo;ll bring
Knowledge and Skills
The position requires a working knowledge of finished goods staging and distribution methods. Requires a working knowledge of packing and securing finished goods for transportation that includes truck, rail, container, and air freight. Requires a working knowledge of the freight transportation industry in general, including freight tariffs and documentation. Requires sufficient human relations skill to exercise leadership and direction over others, to communicate clear instructions, and to maintain harmony with peers. 
Abilities
Requires the ability to carry out all of the accountabilities of the position. Requires the ability to prioritize, plan, and expedite movement of finished goods. Must be able to keep accurate records of shipments.
Education and Experience
The position requires completion of high school plus formal training in motor truck operations and three years of experience directing people and traffic through a high-volume central shipping area.

The salary range for this position is $23.36 to $28.56/hourly.
