Job descriptionPre-Press Specialist / Pre-FlightLocation: Hackensack, NJ - Full Time On Site PositionWe are looking for an experienced pre-flight artist to join our team.We are a B2B Manufacturer and Large Format Printer. Customers prepare artwork to be used with our graphic frames. Our Pre-Press team downloads and opens the files, confirms which order they are for, checks to see if files are the right size, right resolution, correctly setup for the application. Then must check for a variety of other potential issues.Communicating clearly with brands and retailers is a critical skill. You need to be comfortable explaining to business people what their graphic issues are without using jargon they won't understand, and need to be capable of fixing art issues and composing graphics when customers need our help.If you've only created/pre-flighted your own graphics, this isn't the right role.We print in house large format dye sublimation, roll to roll printing, and flatbed printing. This role is critical in ensuring the highest quality of printed materials for our clients and maintaining our reputation for excellence.You will join our experienced Pre-Press team based out of our Hackensack NJ facilities. You will pre-flight customer supplied artwork, work with our internal sales team. You will explain in plain to the customer any changes that are needed. Once the files are ready, you will produce proofs that are sent to our customer for approval.Testrite Visual Products is 107 Year Old US Manufacturer. We are family owned and operated. We are a small business with a small tight nit team. Our company has both printing and manufacturing in house, so you'll be part of the team bringing customer concepts to life.Qualifications:<ul><li>Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Pre-Flighting graphics created by others, ideally in large format printing, including experience pre-flighting</li><li>Adobe Illustrator: Professional level of familiarity</li><li>Attention to Detail: Must be very detail oriented and methodical to ensure issues are caught at pre-press stage as misses and mistakes can be costly.</li><li>Strong Communicator: Must be able to communicate clearly with brands, retailers, and others as to status of orders, what we need from them, and how they can help address any issues with files they provide.</li><li>Organized while multi-tasking: Must be able to stay organized with many projects running in parallel, keeping track of key dates and being a good partner to your customers by helping ensure they get art to you in time to meet their deadlines.</li></ul>Compensation:$65,000 Starting Salary.
