Position Summary:Responsible for assisting the Buyer and Material Control Manager in controlling inventory.Duties/Responsibilities:&middot; Daily input on production reports into SAP (WIP inventory creation and slit coils consumption).&middot; Verification, post- production of Pipe and slit coils inventory.&middot; Make sure that production orders in SAP show the movements reported by the production team.&middot; Scrap production related to production orders.&middot; Keep yard locations updated in SAP and make sure materials on the floor are properly identified along with the shipping crew.&middot; Creation, management, and closure of production orders as a management backup.&middot; Cyclical inventory counts.&middot; Assist the Sales team by providing details of the inventory when requested.&middot; Other duties related to inventory.Supervisory Responsibilities:<ul><li>None</li></ul>Required Skills/Abilities: &middot; Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.&middot; Strong organization and analytical skills.&middot; Basic knowledge (intermediate level desirable) of Excel.&middot; Desirable experience with SAP, JD Edwards, or similar ERP.&middot; Work in the yard environment (60%) as well as in office (40%)/Education and Experience:&middot; High School diploma or GED required.&middot; Two years of inventory control, inventory/warehouse management or general business experience required.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
