Primary Job Function</b></p><p>
In order to help Texas Bay Credit Union (TBCU) stand out as a leading financial institution the Teller is responsible for performing member transactions in an efficient manner, while providing an exceptional experience.</p><p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Provide prompt and courteous service to members. This includes greeting all members with eye contact and a smile, thanking every member by name at the end of each transaction, and maintaining confidentiality concerning member accounts.</li><li>
Perform a full range of duties required to process transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, loan payments, transfers, open-end loan draws, credit card cash advances, and credit card payments.</li><li>
Balance cash drawer with system totals daily.</li><li>
Maintain security of cash drawer and teller number at all times.</li><li>
Examine checks carefully for completeness and proper endorsement. Validate identification and membership during each transaction.</li><li>
Sell various merchandise items such as money orders, official checks, etc.</li><li>
Admit members into Safe Deposit Box according to set procedures, if applicable.</li><li>
Maintain a working knowledge of all TBCU products, services, and promotions.</li><li>
Follow all TBCU updated policies and procedures, including but not limited to member identification requirements, OFAC procedures, etc.</li><li>
Educate members on credit union products and services that will benefit them based on their individual financial journey. Maintain accurate records of all referrals and follow-up with members when necessary.</li><li>
Participates in the Performance Reward Program.</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
Other Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Play an active part in helping credit union teams function smoothly and efficiently.</li><li>
Stay alert to potential problems and propose changes to policies and programs.</li><li>
Back-up other coworkers as needed.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.</li><li>
As an employee of a &ldquo;Essential Business&rdquo; (as defined by Texas&rsquo;s Executive Order GA 14), employees are expected to continue to report to work as scheduled during state issued emergency declarations.</li><li>
Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations.</li></ul><p><b>
Required Knowledge</b></p><ul><li>
A high school education or GED</li><li>
One month to twelve months of similar or related experience</li><li>
Completion of required training courses</li><li>
Proficient in MS Office and computer skills</li></ul><div><b>

Analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills</li><li>

Physical Demands</b></p><div>
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, talk, hear, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10-15 pounds. This position requires viewing of computer monitor for extended lengths of time and travel to and from all credit union offices.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
