Key Responsibilities
Operations 
. Participates in the establishment of policies and procedures for all IRF services.
 
. Work collaboratively with IRF Leadership to prepare and revise Program policies and procedures and development and implementation of the inpatient rehabilitation strategic plan to assure the awareness of the changing rehabilitation market and creating quality rehabilitation programming to meet market needs. 
. Assists with design and implementation of framework to integrate and coordinate patient care services, and program development, consistent with quality services. 
. Actively encourages the integration of rehabilitation services throughout the hospital and community and works with leadership across disciplines to maintain continuity of care.
 
. Provides direction, expertise and mentoring to facilitate growth and development of IRF services.
 
. Integrates all aspects of program development including but not limited to Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Admissions, Nursing, Social Work, and Case Management.
 
. Ensures proper notification and documentation of patient transfers within the facility and/or to an alternative setting in coordination with the social worker/case manager.
 
. Recommend and implement educational efforts to IRF staff for orientation and in-services as needed.
 
. Works collaboratively with IRF leadership in strategic planning activities for the service line, completes assigned goals as part of the process; demonstrates support for and participates as requested in achieving THD Inpatient Rehabilitation Service line goals. 
 
Regulatory Compliance
 
. Responsible for direction, planning and organizing the program to comply with CMS, The Joint Commission, Texas Department of Health and Human Services, and CARF regulatory standards.
 
. Ensures appropriate documentation is complete and maintained in accordance with regulations set forth by CMS and any other appropriate regulatory agencies. 
. Completes transmission of the IRF-PAI data to CMS and other regulatory agencies as appropriate.
 
. Maintains appropriate and timely documentation of the IRF-PAI in patient records. 
. Conducts random chart reviews to ensure timely completion of admission assessments and necessary documentations to support FIM data.
 
. Responsible for orientation and training of staff involved in completion of the IRF-PAI.
 
. Provides education to clinicians on regulatory documentation and any changes given by UDS, CMS, or any other appropriate regulatory or compliance agency.
 
. Provides CARF and Joint Commission support to the Inpatient Rehabilitation department and leadership team from all relevant areas.
 
 
Quality and Performance Improvement 
. Participates in program evaluation and quality assessment and improvement processes. 
. Assist with quality improvement activities, which may reduce cost and increase efficiency through improved systems and processes. Participates in the development of tracking methods, monitors performance, periodically analyzes performance data, and as needed acts as a change agent. 
. Serve as liaison for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility in coordinating and presenting data to outside quality improvement groups/activities and/or educational opportunities. 
. Collects, coordinates, and evaluates clinical information, coding this information and ensuring the accuracy of entering into the computer system.
 
. Reviews medical records to ensure appropriate documentation occurs to support findings noted on the IRF-PAI (Inpatient Rehab Facility Patient Assessment Instrument).
 
. Monitors/trends/analyzes admission, discharge and transfer rates. 
 
Fiscal Operations
 
. Operationally responsible for the financial performance including operating and capital budgeting for assigned area of responsibility. 
. Promote activities to reduce costs, enhance revenues and achieve operational efficiency.
 
. Manage the approved budget through frequent and regular monitoring.
 
. Implement written action plans to address variances adjusting strategies as needed to meet budgetary expectations.
 
. Considers operational outcomes and financial implications when making recommendations to implement new services or modify current programs.
 
. Manages staffing levels consistent with volumes.
 
. Oversees and contributes to the PPS billing and IRF-PAI process; maintains efficient and effective operation of the program by ensuring the coordination of services and management of budget and marketing functions.
 
. Facilitates and coordinates the PPS (Prospective Payment System) in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
 
 
Human Resource Management
 
. Recruits and retains a quality work force.
 
. Provides a work environment which attracts and retains workforce members.

This role bridges business stakeholders and IT, translating operational needs into actionable Salesforce requirements while building a clear, resource-aligned project plan. The engagement is temporary (3-6 months) with variable weekly hours based on project phase and demand.

Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership &amp; Delivery 
. Lead end-to-end delivery of a Salesforce CRM MVP from discovery through launch 
. Develop and manage a phased project timeline, including milestones, dependencies, integrations, and resource needs 
. Coordinate across business leaders, IT/Salesforce teams, and external partners as applicable 
. Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies 
 
Stakeholder Engagement &amp; Requirements 
. Facilitate stakeholder interviews/workshops to gather and prioritize requirements across business units (e.g. community, employer, provider relationships) 
. Translate business needs into clear, structured user stories, process flows, and functional requirements for Salesforce configuration/build 
. Align stakeholders on scope for MVP vs. future phases. 
 
Salesforce Collaboration 
. Work closely with the internal Salesforce/ITS team to refine requirements, backlog, and sprint plans 
. Speak the &quot;Salesforce language&quot; (objects, fields, workflows, reporting, integrations) to ensure efficient handoffs and minimal rework 
. Support UAT planning, execution, and issue resolution. 
 
Integration &amp; Resource Planning 
. Identify required integrations (e.g., marketing tools, referral sources, reporting systems) and coordinate dependencies 
. Define resource plan (internal/external, roles, and time allocations aligned to timeline. 
 
Deliverables &amp; Handoff 
. Deliver a functional Salesforce CRM MVP aligned to agreed scope 
. Produce a documented backlog and roadmap for future phases (post-MVP enhancements) 
. Recommend a sustainable support/operating model for CRM (governance, roles, intake, prioritization, reporting cadence)

Education 
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, clinical field, business, or related field required. 4 years related experience in lieu of a degree required 
 
Experience 
5+ years of project management experience, progressive leadership experience or experience leading high level projects and initiatives required.

Hands-on experience leading Salesforce CRM implementations or enhancements 
Strong business analysis skills; requirements gathering, user stories, process mapping 
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business executives 
Experience building project plans with timelines, dependencies, and resource estimates 
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive alignment 
Self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable in a contract/variable-hours environment 
 
Travel Requirements 
Local 5% Occasional travel to entities and Arlington office as required
