Texas Liver Consultants (TLC) is a thriving specialty medical practice with headquarters in San Antonio, Texas. We have openings for a Medical Assistant who will work collaboratively with our team of dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers.The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, detailed-oriented, and efficient. Strong oral/written skills and an interest in working in a medical office before pursuing an advanced degree in medicine or nursing is a plus.Schedule is full-time weekdays. Candidate must be able to reliably commute to our North Indian Woods San Antonio office.Job duties may include but are not limited to:<ul><li>MA receiving high volume inbound patient calls providing high quality patient care through phone triage</li><li>Ability to spend approximately 90% of the scheduled time on the phone according to business needs and sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks.</li><li>Analytic and organizational skills and independent decision-making skills.</li><li>Enter information into electronic medical record (EPIC)</li><li>Following doctor's orders</li><li>Document updates to medical history &amp; current medications</li><li>Create patient orders</li><li>Assist with patient medical chart preparation</li><li>Obtain patient medical records</li><li>Assist with referrals</li><li>Assist with scheduling appointments</li></ul>Education/Experience:<ul><li>Certified medical assistant (Optional)</li><li>Minimum of 1 year medical assistant experience (Required)</li><li>Bilingual (Preferred)</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $17.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Internal Medicine</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Medical Assistant: 2 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Language:<ul><li>Spanish (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
