The Credit Analyst will support Texas Partners Bank commercial and private banking business plan by researching and calculating risks for complex commercial transactions such as granting businesses loans and extending lines of credit for equipment and other goods. Credit Analysts are required to be quantitative thinkers who are able to take into consideration a large number of variables in order to make evaluations. Works as part of a team and interacts with management, other departments and clients; requiring good communications and interpersonal skills. Manage portfolio to include customer service, problem solving, maintenance, renewals, modifications and information flow. Assist Relationship Managers with prospective clients. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, procedures, regulations and laws within the Commercial Lending and Credit Analyst field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Ensures excellent internal and external client relations at all times.</p><p><b>
Responsibilities and Duties</b></p><ul><li>
Analyze credit worthiness of all current and prospective business customers.</li><li>
Obtain, investigate and analyze credit data, records and spread financial statements.</li><li>
Confer with credit association and other business representatives to exchange credit information.</li><li>
Provide in-depth written analysis of commercial credit requests.</li><li>
Recommend loan structuring.</li><li>
Prepare internal monthly reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.</li><li>
Perform periodic reviews and risk ratings of existing borrowers and key vendors</li><li>
Ensure adherence to commercial loan policy standards, procedures, regulations and laws.</li><li>
Ensure loan policy exceptions are documented and discussed appropriately in credit approval documents.</li><li>
Create, maintain and organize credit files and perform review of loan covenant compliance.</li><li>
Consult and communicate effectively with internal and external clients as necessary to resolve issues during the loan approval process.</li><li>
Demonstrate exemplary service and professionalism to clients and prospects when going with Relationship Managers on customer calls related to specific commercial loan requests.</li><li>
May identify cross-sell and referral opportunities.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Requires Bachelor&rsquo;s degree with emphasis on business/finance/economics</li><li>
Underwriting experience/internship preferred.</li><li>
Understanding of social, economic and political issues that impact our market(s).</li></ul></div>
