The Texas Water Company is actively seeking talented, driven and highly-productive applicants for the position of Communications Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities</b><br>
Assist in implementing communication plans tailored to Texas operations, ensuring clarity and relevance for local audiences (customers, regulators, elected officials, and business partners).<br>
Serve as a point of contact for local media inquiries and coordinate responses with enterprise teams.<br>
Support community engagement activities, including education and advocacy efforts at local councils and public forums.<br>
Draft and distribute customer-facing materials (letters, FAQs, digital content) to explain regional initiatives and projects.<br>
Monitor customer feedback and sentiment in partnership with customer service; recommend improvements based on insights.<br>
Maintain local internal communication channels such as newsletters and assist leadership with quarterly meetings and engagement tools.<br>
Collaborate with HR and leadership to communicate organizational updates, benefits, and development opportunities.<br>
Prepare clear, accurate communications for rate cases, filings, and related regulatory initiatives.<br>
Assist in creating materials for new business development announcements.<br>
Support crisis communication protocols and assist in scenario planning for high-risk situations.<br>
Act as a communicator during emergencies, ensuring timely and empathetic messaging.<br>
Post and monitor content on social media and company websites to amplify messaging.<br>
Track engagement metrics and provide insights to optimize digital strategies.<br>
Track communication-related expenses and assist with invoice processing.<br>
Coordinate timelines and deliverables for communication projects.</p><p><b>
Required Knowledge, Skills &amp; Abilities</b><br>
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.<br>
Familiarity with media relations, crisis communications, and digital platforms.<br>
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.<br>
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with tools like MailChimp or Everbridge is a plus. Detail-oriented and proactive.<br>
Ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines.<br>
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset<br>
Comfortable engaging with media and public audiences.<br>
Accessible during emergencies for rapid response communications.<br>
<br>
<b>Education &amp; Experience</b><br>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field required.<br>
3&ndash;5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or related roles.<br>
Experience with internal and external communications and community engagement preferred.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
