Job Title: Project Manager

Salary: Competitive compensation package based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This senior level management position is fully accountable for the financial performance of the project (i.e., P&amp;L) performance and overall management direction for one or more multi-million-dollar heavy civil construction projects. The Project Manager has final authority over all major decisions related to project plan and implementation.
<ul>
<li>Plan and formulate civil construction projects according to project requirements and engineering standards.</li>
<li>Ensure overall project quality control, including review of project designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications.</li>
<li>Create and maintain all project-related documentation and correspondence.</li>
<li>Prepare analytical reports for presentation to upper management.</li>
<li>Collaborate with field management to ensure successful resolution of issues between the project plan and site execution on an ongoing basis.</li>
<li>Approve all equipment or personnel changes and requisitions prepared and submitted by superintendents.</li>
<li>Maintain timely knowledge of what is occurring on project.</li>
<li>Appropriately execute final authority over issue resolution related to project plan and implementation.</li>
<li>Demonstrate understanding of when to elevate issues and/or communicate to upper management.</li>
<li>Plan for and organize project staff according to project requirements, including assigning proper personnel to specific projects or components of projects.</li>
<li>Ensure and communicate clear roles and responsibilities to entire project team.</li>
<li>Conduct weekly meetings with project team (to include scheduling and costing review).</li>
<li>Develop and effectively manage against project budget and ensure project meets projected/required margins.</li>
<li>Ensure the accuracy of weekly Viewpoint labor and equipment reports and monthly Viewpoint cost reports.</li>
<li>Conduct and document ongoing financial projections of project performance throughout project life.</li>
<li>Submit accurate and timely cost and income projections for project.</li>
<li>Submit accurate and timely payment requisitions.</li>
<li>Appropriately act on changes in project margins and budget variances to ensure project profitability.</li>
<li>Demonstrate a thorough understanding of contract terms and specifications.</li>
<li>Act as Thalle's representative with owners and owner's engineers at project meetings.</li>
<li>Document all change conditions.</li>
<li>Complete all written notification requirements.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate recordkeeping is maintained at job site.</li>
<li>Ensure timely and appropriate communications of time extensions and delays to owner in accordance with contract requirement.</li>
<li>Document, prepare, and initiate claims, if necessary.</li>
<li>Protect Thalle' s interests, minimize conflicts, and professionally resolve issues.</li>
<li>Demonstrate thorough understanding of project schedule, key project milestones, and reasons for delays.</li>
<li>Update project schedule on monthly basis.</li>
<li>Ensure accuracy, appropriate detail and timely submittal of Superintendent's 2-week schedules.</li>
<li>Identify competent subcontractors and suppliers for projects by comparing and evaluating them based on price, scope, schedule, terms, qualifications and history with Thalle.</li>
<li>Oversee the issuance of subcontracts and supplier purchase orders.</li>
<li>Ensure the appropriate performance management of subcontractors.</li>
<li>Ensure all site operations adhere to Company and site safety policies and protocols.</li>
<li>Ensure Incident and Injury Free protocols are followed at all times and behaviors and culture are instilled at all levels on the project.</li>
<li>As an employee of Thalle, you shall act as the liaison and point of contact for multiple Governmental Agencies, Thalle and its subcontractors.</li>
</ul>
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (4 years).</li>
<li>Professional license, certifications and contractor's licenses preferred.</li>
<li>Minimum 8-10 years job experience in project engineering and project management.</li>
<li>Large Diameter Pipe (Over 32 Inch Pipe) Project Management Experience.</li>
<li>Strong computer skills, including Primavera, Viewpoint, HCSS Heavy Bid.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple, large scale, challenging projects.</li>
<li>Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.</li>
<li>Leadership skills.</li>
<li>Ability to adapt and work effectively with diverse workforce.</li>
<li>Worked as a Project Manager on similar types of projects.</li>

The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring projects proceed safely, accurately, and smoothly. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Project Manager and Superintendent.

Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Perform daily reports, monitor daily work activities for production and schedule tracking.</li>
<li>Create and manage pertinent construction documentation such as submittals, RFI&rsquo;s, change orders, notifications and correspondence.</li>
<li>Strong ability to command daily/ weekly and monthly meetings.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal skills pertinent in developing and maintaining client, owner, subcontractor and vendor relationships.</li>
<li>Complete equipment usage reports and assign proper equipment cost codes.</li>
<li>Ensure proper completion of equipment return/receipt reports.</li>
<li>Obtain, evaluate, submit and track all submittals to owners/customers.</li>
<li>Prepare monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.</li>
<li>Obtain material quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders for approval.</li>
<li>Accurately track, maintain, report counts of materials used, and on-hand required.</li>
<li>Prepare, track project RFI&rsquo;s and submittals.</li>

<li>Assist and manage jobsite document control.</li>

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.</li>
<li>2+ years of relevant experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer or QC Tech on heavy civil projects.</li>
<li>Primavera CPM scheduling or similar, and CAD knowledge.</li>
<li>Ability to work with a fast-paced team in an aggressive construction environment.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office.</li>
<li>Strong capabilities to multitask, work independently under pressure, and within tight deadlines.</li>
<li>Background check and drug testing.</li>
<li>Prior heavy civil site project experience such as water control, levee, concrete, and mass excavation experience are a plus.</li>

<li>Complete equipment reports including usage, in/out dates, maintenance, cost coding, inspections, etc.</li>

<li>Prepare monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.</li>

<li>Accurately track and report materials used, materials required, and materials on hand.</li>

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in electrical engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant experience.</li>
<li>1-3 years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction.</li>
<li>Knowledge of software systems such as Viewpoint, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, and AutoCAD.</li>
<li>MS Office &ndash; Word, Excel, and Outlook</li>
<li>Knowledge of the National Electrical Code</li>
<li>Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities depending on project needs.</li>
