 The 1978 Collection, a prestigious event rental company located in Eighty Four, PA, is seeking candidates for Driver's Assistant positions.
 
 
 Nature of the Work:
 
 Will assist in loading and unloading vehicles/trucks and work with delivery personnel/drivers and dispatchers to deliver any equipment in full or partial loads.&nbsp; Must service customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner.&nbsp; May be required to assist customers with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions and order adjustments.
 
 
 Position Tasks &amp; Activities:
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Load and unload equipment
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Prep equipment, if necessary prior to loading
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Assist with the delivery and pick up of equipment
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Provide directional assistance when parking delivery truck
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Read a road map and clearly communicate directions to the driver
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Know specifics and applications of rental inventory to answer questions upon delivery
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Double check delivered items to make sure customer receives exactly what was ordered
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Notify dispatcher or store if behind schedule, so customers may be contacted.
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Instruct customers on equipment operation
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Start equipment and review safety features with customers
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; When picking up equipment, if something is missing or broken, fill out the appropriate forms and obtain&nbsp;
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; customer's signature
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Verify pick up ticket copies were delivered to warehouse supervisor/manager so counts then can be verified&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;prior to unloading
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Adhere to and maintain all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Attend department, store and safety meetings
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Perform other duties as requested
 
 
 Education, Skills &amp; Requirements:
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs.
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must maintain a professional personal appearance
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must possess customer relation skills
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must have and maintain a valid driver's license
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to read a road map and clearly communicate directions to the driver
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly.&nbsp; The ability to speak other languages is a plus
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must pass company drug screen
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must maintain an acceptable attendance record
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must have a full range of motion and dexterity
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers
 
 &nbsp; &nbsp; *&nbsp; Must be able to maintain a high degree of patience
 
 
 Working Conditions:
 
 &nbsp;May be exposed to the general range of weather experienced in the area, with the exception of several hours in the warehouse loading or unloading and drive time.&nbsp; Some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.&nbsp; May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents.&nbsp; Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.&nbsp; Some electrical equipment is delivered, although it is not a requirement to install or service the equipment.&nbsp; If lighting is required (the installation of extension cords and lamps), the drivers are provided with Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFI) breakers.&nbsp; Stooping, crouching, bending, lifting, lowering, reaching, twisting, pulling, pushing, carting and carrying are intermittent tasks that routinely occur.

 The 1978 Collection, a prestigious event company, located in Eighty Four, PA, is seeking CDL &amp; Non-CDL Drivers for deliveries in the tristate area. As a Driver, you will deliver equipment and materials to our clients&rsquo; event locations. You will also load and unload trucks and complete setup/ teardown at delivery locations, while working closely with our dispatch team and your delivery assistant.&nbsp;

 Role and Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Safely drive fleet of vehicles including box trucks up to 26 ft
 </li>
 <li>
 Set up and tear down event equipment including but not limited to tents, tables, event furniture, and kitchen appliances
 </li>
 <li>
 Accurately load and unload deliveries according to invoice
 </li>
 <li>
 Properly handle equipment to prevent damage
 </li>
 <li>
 Safely operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, and forklifts
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete Driver&rsquo;s Daily Logs and other reports
 </li>
 <li>
 Aid clients with questions and troubleshoot issues as needed, escalate to Dispatch as necessary
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow routes established by Dispatch team to ensure timely delivery
 </li>
 <li>
 Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs)
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues
 </li>
 <li>
 Service clients in a polite, friendly, and professional manner
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform additional duties as assigned
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 Qualifications and Requirements:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Must be 18 years of age or older
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license in good standing. DOT Medical Certification required, CDL not required but desired
 </li>
 <li>
 Previous experience in a similar role and/or warehouse environment desired
 </li>
 <li>
 Must maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with local roads and be able to read a road map
 </li>
 <li>
 Pass background check, drug screen, and DOT physical
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Must meet the physical requirements of the role
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to understand and complete instructions
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to maintain a high degree of patience
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in both verbal and written English
 </li>

 Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
