The Defense Systems Group (DSG) provides analysis-based decision support to senior leaders on space architectures, policy and strategy, developmental planning, system of systems engineering, and threat reduction to help shape future space missions across the national security space enterprise. DSG is unique at Aerospace as it not only directly supports major customers, including Air Force Space Command, U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Materiel Command, and senior leadership at the Pentagon, but also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation.
Aerospace provides technical advice, thought leadership, and systems engineering support to Space Force. This organization is building and evolving the service&rsquo;s activities to ideate and design the Objective Force using modern digital environments and enterprise architecture models. In addition to directly supporting senior Space Force leadership, Aerospace also provides a broad range of services and support across the national space enterprise, maintaining vertical responsibilities with government customers but also horizontal, matrixed responsibilities across the corporation.

What You'll Be Doing
<ul><li>Lead or support the integration of mission area analyses and engineering into the Objective Force within a modern digital environment.</li>
<li>Develop and implement approaches for integrating mission threads within the enterprise architecture framework.</li>
<li>Collaborate effectively in an on-site environment with senior Government leaders, Aerospace program offices, and the Engineering and Technical Group (ETG) to address complex technical and programmatic challenges.</li>
<li>Deliver best-in-class technical analyses and actionable recommendations that drive customer mission success.</li>
<li>Develop, foster, and maintain strategic relationships with field and headquarters offices across the United States Space Force (USSF).</li>
<li>Address the full spectrum of Space Force systems engineering and integration challenges by building end-to-end processes and models, and leading data infrastructure development activities.</li>
<li>Deliver timely, high-quality responses to time-sensitive staff inquiries and provide technical support for official correspondence to Congress, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Department of the Air Force, HQ Space Force, and the Intelligence Community.</li>
</ul>What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements &ndash; Project Engineer &ndash; Enterprise Engineering
<ul><li>Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or related technical discipline from an accredited institution.</li>
<li>6+ years of progressive professional engineering or scientific experience in multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.</li>
<li>Demonstrated knowledge of the U.S. Space Force (USSF) and/or national security space enterprise.</li>
<li>Experience with system-of-systems (SoS) engineering, enterprise architecting, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and processes (e.g., Cameo, UAF).</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Willingness to travel domestically approximately 20% as customer mission requirements dictate.</li>
<li>Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities in fast-paced environments.</li>
<li>This position requires an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.</li>

What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing
<ul><li>Providing software systems engineering skills to space, ground, and launch systems in the national security, civil, and commercial domains.</li>
<li>Leveraging a wide range of technical skills to solve complex problems in various software systems domains such as software development; software architectures; software supply chain security; developing technical roadmaps and architectural on-ramps; cloud and virtualization deployments; and microservices and API development.</li>

Minimum Requirements:

<li>6 years of experience with increasing responsibility in Software Architecture or Software Engineering.</li>
<li>Proven ability to execute task prioritization, and time management skills.</li>
<li>Extensive experience in software engineering, containerization and deployment of mission applications, and understanding of software supply chain security concepts.</li>
<li>Strong background in driving software modernization, transitioning legacy systems to microservices, and implementing modern software development methodologies and practices.</li>
