The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.</div><div></div><div>
The Survivability and Resilience Office (SRO) of the Advanced Technology Division offers broadening opportunities to make a lasting impact on mission success in a rapidly evolving mission area that requires end-to-end integration, cross-organizational reach, has varying mission assurance and acquisition approaches, and spans R&amp;D to major system acquisition. We are looking for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer (Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer - Multi-Disciplinary Engineering) to provide programmatic and technical expertise for a major acquisition. In this role, you&rsquo;ll bring the best of Aerospace to provide deep technical skills across multiple engineering disciplines to address top issues for a critical system needed to protect US space assets.</div><div></div><div>
The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in Chantilly, VA.</div><div></div><div>
What You&rsquo;ll Be Doing:</div><ul><li>
Serve in a government program office as a trusted advisor for a major space system acquisition</li><li>
Collaborating with program office, contractor, and ETG counterparts in a high-velocity environment to execute an innovative, tailored mission assurance baseline for a high-visibility, first of its kind, Major Systems Acquisition program</li><li>
Managing development and execution of verification and validation plans, on-orbit initialization plans, and operational demonstration plans through manufacture, integration, test, and launch</li><li>
Monitoring development activities and ensuring standards compliance at several factory locations around the U.S.</li><li>
Leading development / publication of periodic program Mission Assurance Reports detailing Aerospace contributions and highlighting programmatic risks</li><li>
Leverage Aerospace&rsquo;s premier analysis, simulation, and laboratory resources in the Engineering and Technology Group matrix to bring the best of Aerospace to support program needs</li></ul><div></div><div>
What You Need to be Successful</div><div><i>
Minimum Requirements for the Project Engineer &ndash; Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Role:</i></div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical field</li><li>
Minimum 6 years of progressively more responsible experience</li><li>
Knowledge of DoD and/or IC space systems acquisition</li><li>
Knowledge of systems engineering processes, to include requirements generation and verification</li><li>
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and impacting program decision-making</li><li>
Willing to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time.</li><li>
This position requires a current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.</li></ul><div></div><div><i>
In addition to the above, the minimum requirements for the Senior Project Engineer- Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Role include</i>:</div><ul><li>

The Photonics Technology Department is hiring a graduate Intern to work in radio frequency (RF) photonics, quantum photonics, and/or signal processing.
