<b>General Description</b></div>
<div><br>
Day Hab Support Staff provide a range of assistance that is appropriate and necessary for the supported individual&rsquo;s health and well-being while at the program. Direct Support Staff provide direct assistance in learning and maintaining skills. The Direct Support Professional reports directly to and receives weekly and/or as needed support and supervision from their supervisor from within the Day Program.<br>

<b>Minimum Qualifications</b></div>
<div></div><ul><li>High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required</li>
<li>At least 18 years of age</li>
<li>First Aid/CPR certification</li>
<li>Completion of TB screening and testing</li>
<li>Completion of Physical including transportation/transfer addendum</li>
<li>Safe driving record, current driver&rsquo;s license, personal vehicle, and current motor vehicle liability insurance required, ability to successfully pass criminal background checks</li>

<b>Job Responsibilities</b></div>
<div>*Responsibilities are based upon the needs of the individual supported and may vary depending on their unique needs and goals*</div>
<ul><li>Maintain a positive relationship with the individuals and their families/guardians</li>
<li>Maintains open communication and works with all team members</li>
<li>Responsible for completion of necessary documentation including time sheet, daily progress notes, incident reports, data tracking, etc., in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Provides reliable and appropriate service to individuals and their families</li>
<li>Maintains necessary certifications (First Aid/CPR, PBS, PABC) and completes all required training in a timely manner in accordance with program requirements</li>
<li>Participates in routine established for the program</li>
<li>Presents professionally and follows established dress code</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with team of staff in the program to provide individuals with respect and dignity.</li>
<li>Attend regularly scheduled Staff meetings
</li><li>Assist individuals with activities of daily living such as feeding and toileting</li>
<li>Support individuals to perform tasks necessary to participate and contribute in activities of their choice.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of goals and implement objectives.</li>
<li>Provides transportation to individuals utilizing agency vehicles</li>
<li>Represent The Arc of Bristol County/ProAbility&rsquo;s mission and philosophies in a positive and supportive manner within the community and with the individuals and families we support.</li>
<li>Adhere to Direct Support Professional job duties and Code of Ethics.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><br>
