</p></div><div><p>The maintenance role works in various office and residential facilities to maintain the living and working environments of our clients and employees.
</p></div><p></p><div><p><b>What will my day-to-day responsibilities look like</b><b>?</b>
</p></div><div><p>You will find success in this role with your strong work ethic, integrity, and responsibility. You will do this by:
</p><ul><li><p>Troubleshooting issues to determine necessary repairs.
</p></li><li><p>Performing general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
</p></li><li><p>General remodeling, maintenance of facility roadways, parking lots and snow removal.
</p></li><li><p>Performing routine maintenance on building systems.
</p></li><li><p>Caring of grounds and landscapes.
</p></li><li><p>Provide safety and maintenance training to additional departments as needed.
</p></li></ul></div><p></p><div><p><b>What do I need to be successful in this position?</b>
</p><ul><li><p>A knowledge of electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling and carpentry.
</p><ul><li><p>This may be measured by other jobs held and work required in those jobs and or certificates of training in the above mentioned areas.
</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a maintenance person.
</p><ul><li><p>Experience as a maintenance person in a residential/commercial setting is preferred.
</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Must be able to stand, stoop, lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing 75 pounds.
</p></li><li><p>A minimum of eighteen years of age and possession of a diploma from an accredited High School or the equivalent.

The Maintenance I is in a position of considerable responsibility which demands a variety of abilities. These abilities include but are not limited to repair and maintenance of group homes, ISLs, administrative facilities, and other Arc facilities.
</p><p>General remodeling, maintenance of roadways, parking lots and snow removal are included in these responsibilities.
</p><p>This individual may also be asked to drive a vehicle to transport clients or staff.</p><p><br>

Essential Job Tasks</i></b></p><p><br>
The development of and continued implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule in the group homes, ISLs, administrative facilities, and other Arc facilities.</p></div><div><p><br>
Minor repair to buildings and equipment with general remodeling work.<br>
</p></div><br>
<div><p>Performs tasks common to the care of grounds and landscapes such as mowing lawns with riding or push mowers; trimming and edging around trees, shrubs, ground cover, flowers, sidewalks, and buildings; weeding, thinning and cleaning flower beds and other grounds by hand or utilizing proper tools and equipment.</p></div><div><p><br>
Ensure that high standards of safety are developed, met, and maintained at all Arc facilities.</p></div><div><p><br>
Arranges and coordinates the internal safety inspections of residential facilities and the Activity Center. Follows up on deficiencies and recommendations.</p></div><div><p><br>
Participates in the process and function of The Arc of the Ozarks Health and Safety Committee.</p></div><div><p><br>
Completes, coordinates, and arranges for the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance in accordance with Arc of the Ozarks operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.</p></div><div><p><br>
Ensures that major equipment and furnishings are maintained in safe, operable conditions and/or arranges for replacement.</p></div><div><p><b><i><br>
Quality Assurance and Compliance</i></b></p><p><br>
Provide training as assigned to the residential staff as it relates to the safety and maintenance needs of residential facilities</p></div><br>
