<div><div><b>JOB SUMMARY</b></div>
<div>Strategic sourcing of qualified vendor, negotiate both annual agreements and one time deals, execution of purchase orders, and develop and maintain vendor relationships.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Responsibilities include:</b></div>
<ul><li>Successfully negotiating contracts and payment terms as well as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) pricing</li>
<li>Negotiating formula pricing structures based on familiarity with commodities used in typical manufacturing processes</li>
<li>Working knowledge of Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs and ability to implement these from start to finish</li>
<li>Assertively building a qualified base of vendors and continually expand industry expertise</li>
<li>Purchasing point of contact for assigned business divisions</li>
<li>Supply chain and purchase order management</li>
<li>Additional items as assigned by manager</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>PRINCIPAL CONTACTS INSIDE/OUTSIDE THE COMPANY</b></div>
<div>This position interacts with Customers, Outside Sales Reps, Vendors, Engineering, Operations, Product Managers, Accounting, Receiving, Quality, and Production.</div>
<div></div><div><b>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS</b></div>
<ul><li>Basic familiarity with drawings and specifications.</li>
<li>Strong, cross-functional communication skills, detail oriented, MS office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable working with ERP systems.</li>
<li>Excellent time management and organizational skills.</li>
<li>Strong ability to establish rapport.</li>
<li>Ability to work under pressure.</li>
<li>Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing commodity assignments.</li>
<li>Timely disposition of RTV items.</li>
<li>Understanding of MRP planning.</li>
</ul>
<div></div><div><b>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</b></div>
<ul><li>Bachelors or Associates degree required.</li>
<li>5+ years of experience as Buyer in Manufacturing Environment.</li></ul><br>
<div></div><div><b>EQUIPMENT USED</b></div>
<div>Personal Computer, Scanning equipment, Telephone, Copier.</div>
