Reports to: Branch Manager</div> 
POSITION SUMMARY
The Teller is responsible for performing a range of banking transactions and providing excellent and exceptional customer service. This role involves handling cash, processing deposits and withdrawals, and assisting customers with their banking needs. The teller plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring a positive customer experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Transaction Processing: Accurately execute a variety of customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, cashier&rsquo;s checks, savings bonds, and cash advances. Ensure each transaction is processed efficiently and in compliance with bank policies.</li><li>
Cash Management: Daily balance and reconcile the cash drawer, identifying and addressing any discrepancies promptly. Maintain optimal cash levels and ensure the secure handling of all cash and negotiable instruments. Recognize and report counterfeit currency in accordance with established procedures.</li><li>
Customer Service: Deliver outstanding customer service based on E2 practices, ensuring interactions with internal and external customers are responsive, courteous, and timely.</li><li>
Compliance Adherence: Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations as well as all bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to BSA-AML.</li></ul>
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
ATM Management: Perform ATM-related duties, including balancing and reconciling ATM transactions, settling discrepancies, and providing on-call support for any ATM issues or maintenance needs.</li><li>
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Meetings and Committees: Attend departmental and organizational meetings, and serve on bank committees as required, contributing to broader company initiatives and decision-making processes.</li></ul>
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills, Abilities &amp; Experience<ul><li>
Education: High School diploma or equivalent or currently enrolled in school.</li><li>
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computers and Microsoft Office, including Teams.</li><li>
Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical proficiency, including the ability to perform calculations accurately and efficiently.</li><li>
Data Analysis: Ability to read, count, and handle money with precision. Skill in analyzing data to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.</li><li>
Typing Skills: Ability to type and use 10-key by touch.</li><li>
Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong prioritization skills.</li><li>
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>
Credit Standing: Credit in good standing.</li></ul>
Preferred Skills, Abilities &amp; Experience<ul><li>
Experience: Six months of customer service and/or cash-handling experience.</li><li>
Bilingual Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages to serve a diverse customer base.</li><li>
Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Jack Henry Silverlake.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Extended Computer Usage: Ability to work with computer screens for prolonged periods, maintaining focus and attention to detail.</li><li>
Sitting and Standing: Capability to sit or stand for extended periods as required by job duties.</li><li>
Mental Focus: Strong mental acuity with the capacity to maintain concentration and attention to detail.</li><li>
Effective Communication: Clear speaking and effective hearing abilities for exchanging information in person and via telephone.</li><li>
Varied Physical Activity: Frequent need to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for handling objects or operating controls.</li><li>
Occasional Physical Tasks: Ability to occasionally reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.</li><li>
Office Mobility: Ability to move around the office and between locations as needed.</li></ul>

Occasional Travel: The role may require occasional travel between branches, as well as attendance at off-site meetings and training sessions.</li><li>
Availability: Must be available for on-call duties, including some evenings and weekends. Will be required to work occasional Saturday shifts.</li></ul>
