The Rear-Load Driver is responsible for safely operating a rear-load collection truck to provide waste and recycling collection services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers in the St. Louis Park area. This position is part of a team of 2 drivers. This position involves driving, operating collection equipment, safely loading material, and ensuring timely service completion in accordance with company, local, state, and federal regulations.</div><br>

<ul><li>
Safely operate a rear-load refuse collection truck along assigned routes.</li><li>
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, completing inspection reports as required.</li><li>
Collect and transport waste, recycling, and organics from customer sites, following proper lifting techniques and ensuring material is securely loaded.</li><li>
Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and route supervisors regarding service issues, delays, or safety concerns.</li><li>
Navigate routes using company-provided devices or route sheets, adapting to changes in traffic, road closures, or weather.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle, including cab and body.</li><li>
Report any mechanical or safety issues to the maintenance team promptly.</li><li>
Assist with container repairs or replacements as needed.</li><li>
Complete required documentation including logs, customer tickets, and service records accurately.</li><li>
Represent the company professionally through courteous interaction with customers and the public.</li></ul>

<ul><li>
High School diploma or GED equivalent</li><li>
Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement (Class A preferred)</li><li>
Clean driving record meeting company and DOT standards</li><li>
Previous experience driving rear-load, side-load, or front-load trucks preferred</li><li>
Driver or trash industry experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate</li><li>
Ability to safely lift 40&ndash;50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day</li><li>
Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs repeatedly and maneuver loaded carts or containers</li><li>
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and elements</li><li>
Must not be sensitive to or bothered by the smell of trash</li><li>
Familiarity with DOT regulations and local traffic laws</li><li>
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude</li><li>
Ability to work well with others in a team environment</li></ul>

<b>Start Time:</b> 6:30 AM daily<br>
<b>Schedule Requirements:</b> Must be willing to work some Saturdays as needed</p>

What We Do:
</b></div><div>Since 1993, LJP has been helping large manufacturing companies reach their sustainability goals. We provide commercial waste services, and we convert your waste-to-energy to provide clean fuel.</div><br>

We perform waste evaluations to determine what can be recycled. From there, we sort the recyclable materials, bale them, and sell them on the market. If certain materials cannot be recycled or sold, we convert the remaining products to clean fuel using our waste-to-energy methods. From there, we give you detailed reports explaining how much waste recycling you had by category, and how much was converted into clean energy.</div><br>

The Responsibilities of this Residential Route Driver would be the following, but not limited to:</b></div>
<ul><li>Depending on the route, the Truck Driver hired would be responsible to pick up trash/MSW or Recycle on a residential route. Potential for rolloff route and experience.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Once route is completed, the Truck Driver will be responsible to empty his or her truck at the designated Landfill or Recycling Facility.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform your assigned route in a timely but safe manner.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Complete your pre and post trip inspections on your truck.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Check in with your Route Manager when your route is completed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Follow the route that is given to you to assure accuracy in picking up all your stops.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attend all Monthly Safety meetings and be an active participant.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Give your opinion and think outside the box to help with route efficiency.</li></ul><br>
