Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate, loving, and dedicated Pre-K Lead Teacher to join our team at a private school. As a Pre-K Teacher, you will play a vital role in educating and nurturing young children, providing them with a solid foundation for their future education. You will work in a mix-aged PK3/PK4 classroom that is integrated with special education students general education peers, supported by a SPED-Certified Lead teacher and special-education assistants as well as a general education assistant.Responsibilities: - Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum and hands-on activities to promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of pre-K aged children. - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. - Foster positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress. - Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning. - Utilize effective positive classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.-Update Brightwheel throughout the day with photos, videos, and individual student learning. - Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for students. - Assess student progress through observation, assessment tools, and regular evaluations.Skills: - Experience working with pre-K-aged children, providing care and education in a classroom setting. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues. - Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.-Ability to build deep, loving, positive relationships with children. - Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives. - Patience, compassion, and the ability to connect with young children. - Excellent organizational skills to manage classroom materials and resources.Requirements:-Minimum requirement of a CDA - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.- Experience working with Special Education - Relevant certifications or credentials in early childhood education are highly desirable. - Previous experience as a Lead Teacher with pre-K-aged children is required.This full-time position will work the 7:30 AM - 4:50 PM shift, with a 1 hour lunch break.We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
