<div><p>The FamilySearch Library is seeking an experienced and highly organized <b>Project Manager </b>to support the operations of the VIP Hosting &amp; Research Services team. This role is critical in ensuring that high-profile leaders and guests receive exceptional, personalized family history products that reflect the standards, mission, and values of FamilySearch and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
</p><p>The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of complex hosting and research projects; facilitate communication among internal and external stakeholders; and support team operations to ensure seamless and professional service delivery. This is a two‑year, time-bound position running from <b>March 2026 through March 2028 </b>.

</b></p></li><li><div>Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and required resources.
</div><ul><li><div>Coordinate project kickoff activities and ensure all stakeholders understand expectations and deadlines.
</div></li><li><div>Track project progress, anticipate emerging needs, and adjust plans to maintain schedule and quality.

</b></p></li><li><div>Facilitate collaboration among VIP staff, library research specialists, department representatives, and leadership teams.
</div><ul><li><div>Lead regular project check-ins, monitor assignments, and help resolve roadblocks.
</div></li><li><div>Provide clear direction, communicate priorities, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
</div></li><li><div>Foster a positive, professional, and mission-centered working environment.
</div></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Stakeholder Communication
</b></p></li><li><div>Serve as the primary operational point of contact on research projects with library staff, internal partners, and external collaborators.
</div><ul><li><div>Prepare and deliver concise status reports, project updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
</div></li><li><div>Ensure all project communications uphold high standards of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality.

</b></p></li><li><div>Identify potential risks or challenges early and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

</b></p></li><li><div>Ensure all deliverables&mdash;including research portfolios, pedigrees, and books&mdash;meet established quality standards.
</div><ul><li><div>Gather feedback, analyze outcomes, and recommend enhancements to workflows, tools, and processes.
</div></li><li><div>Promote consistency, efficiency, and operational excellence across the VIP Hosting &amp; Research Services team.
</div></li></ul></li><li><p><b>Relationship Management
</b></p></li><li><div>Build and maintain strong relationships with Family History Department representatives, library research teams, administrative staff, Publishing Services Department, and Church vendors and contractors.
</div><ul><li><div>Represent the FamilySearch Library professionally in meetings, planning sessions, and public-facing interactions.
</div></li><li><div>Support efforts that elevate the visibility, effectiveness, and reputation of the VIP Hosting &amp; Research Services team.
</div></li></ul></li><li><b>Secondary Responsibilities
</b></li><li><p><b>VIP Hosting Administrative Support
</b></p></li><li><p>Coordinate hosting‑visit requests with Church leaders, Church Hosting directors, Family History Department representatives, and community leaders, ensuring accurate visit details and timely communication.
</p><ul><li><div>Use Salesforce to track hosting visits, including guest information, event details, staff assignments, research and hosting hours, visit reports, etc.
</div></li><li><div>Provide logistical support for hosting visits by arranging room reservations, managing calendar appointments, and setting up rooms in advance of guest arrival.
</div></li><li><div>Maintain accurate hosting statistics, including the number of hosting visits, guests served, and staff hours.</div></li></ul></li></ul></div>
<br><div><p>Required:
</p><p>Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Minimum 3 years of work experience in a related field
</p><ul><li><div>Background in library, archival, research, or educational settings.
</div></li><li><div>Experience overseeing genealogical research projects from planning through completion.
</div></li><li><div>Genealogical credential (Certified Genealogist&reg; or Accredited Genealogist&reg;)
</div></li><li><p>Familiarity with FamilySearch.org tools and resources, including Historical Records, Images, Family Tree, Memories, Catalog, and Wiki.
</p></li><li><div>Experience supporting VIP or executive-level guests.
</div></li><li><div>Proficiency with project tracking systems, Microsoft 365 tools, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
</div></li></ul><p><b>Additional information
</b></p><ul><li><div>This is a full-time position aligned with the operations of the FamilySearch Library and the VIP Hosting &amp; Research Services team. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position will require occasional work on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and evening hours as we support VIP hosting visits, special events, or time-sensitive projects.

Project Manager--VIP Hosting & Research Services, full-time, 2 year Time Bound, on-site at the FamilySearch Library

<div><p>The purpose of this role is to act as a leader with full people management responsibilities over an HR team assigned to support HR core/essential work for one or more department.
</p><p>Employees at this level work with a high degree of latitude, have expert knowledge, and handle the most complex issues and problems.
</p><p>This role reports to Director, HR Strategic Partner with frequent partnership with workforce and department leaders, department HR team, and COEs.</p></div>

</li><li>Coach regarding compensation decisions

</li><li>Facilitate performance management calibration amongst leadership
</li><li>Lead workforce relations efforts and resolve disputes
</li><li>Lead benefit and compensation analysis, proposals, approval requests, and merit increases processes
</li><li>Resolve compensation and benefit issues
</li><li>Administer promotion and in-line adjustment review and approval processes
</li><li>Administer and support reduction in force (RIF) efforts
</li><li>Manage labor relations (unionized workforce)
</li><li>Support talent acquisition processes and efforts through posting jobs, processing offer letters, checking applicant temple worthiness, and assisting in onboarding and provisioning efforts
</li><li>Support position management needs through creating, updating, and tracking positions
</li><li>Support position/budget tracking efforts (FTE reconciliation)
</li><li>Support employee record management through submitting transactions such as promotions, assignment changes, transfers, compensation adjustments, etc.
</li><li>Support offboarding processes by administering exit surveys, coordinating exit checklist items, etc.
</li><li>Support essential Service Mission Office responsibilities
