What we&rsquo;re looking for: A motivated team player to join the City of New Braunfels Parks and Recreation department in the Park Operations division. Under close supervision, performs general labor and maintenance of City Parks, golf course, facilities and infrastructure in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.

<ul><li>Operates a variety of specialized equipment and performs manual labor tasks in order to maintain safe parks and City facilities as assigned; duties will vary according to job assignment.
</li><li>Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment including but not limited to hand tools, commercial mower (rotary and reel), weed eater, blower, chain saw, pickup truck, trailers, utility vehicles, tractors, skid steer loader and golf carts, in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
</li><li>Cleans and maintains City facilities and buildings.
</li><li>Assists in the planting, watering, mowing, weeding, trimming and renovation of turf and landscaping.
</li><li>Make repairs and perform maintenance to buildings, facilities, irrigation systems and equipment using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanic skills; and reports problems requiring additional attention.
</li><li>Assists in the maintenance of landscaping park and golf course grounds; clears trash, brush, weeds and debris from grounds and facilities.
</li><li>Recognizes, avoids, and reports unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries.
</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or required.
</li></ul>Your education and experience that matters most for this role:
Education and Experience:
<ul><li>High School diploma or GED equivalent, AND one year of general maintenance or landscaping experience.
</li></ul>Required Licenses or Certifications:
<ul><li>Must possess a valid Texas Driver&rsquo;s License.

<ul><li>Basic tools and equipment used in parks, facilities and grounds maintenance.
</li><li>City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions.

</li></ul>Physical Demands / Work Environment:
<ul><li>Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions and involves standing, walking, kneeling and bending for extended periods of time, with exposure to hazardous equipment and low to no light conditions, requires constant physical efforts for extended periods, and ability to safely lift, carry and move items weighing up to eighty (80) pounds.
</li><li>Must be able to work flexible work schedule and irregular hours including evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays on any assigned or scheduled shift, including but not limited to 5:00 am &ndash; 2:30 pm, 7:00 am &ndash; 3:30 pm.

What we&rsquo;re looking for: The New Braunfels Police Department is seeking Part-Time Police Officers to join our team and continue making a meaningful impact in the community. This unique opportunity is ideal for experienced law enforcement professionals who want to stay connected to the profession, support public safety, and serve in a flexible part-time capacity.
Under general supervision, Part-Time Police Officers provide responsive and professional law enforcement services while supporting the Department's mission of service, safety, and community engagement. Officers assigned to this position will provide a visible law enforcement presence at City Hall, City Council meetings, and other City public meetings, while assisting with investigative, operational, and special projects as assigned. The City of New Braunfels Police Department operates under Chapter 143 of the Texas Local Government Code and the City of New Braunfels Firefighters and Police Officers Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations; however, Part-Time Police Officers are at-will employees and are not Civil Service employees as outlined in the City of New Braunfels and the New Braunfels Police Officers&rsquo; Association (NBPOA) Meet and Confer Agreement, Article 4.

</li><li>Maintain safety and security at City facilities and public meetings by monitoring activities, responding to disturbances, and addressing public safety concerns.

What we&rsquo;re looking for: A motivated and collaborative individual to join the Finance Department. You will continue to successfully serve the current and future needs of the New Braunfels community. Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled administrative functions for Finance Department; provide administrative support to assigned team members; prepares various types of correspondence, reports, and documentation; maintains department records and files; conducts general accounting duties; gathers, interprets, and prepares data for studies, reports, and projects, and assists in the development of short and long- range plans. The level of work required is considered intermediate. Reports to department Director and/or Assistant Director. This position does not have any direct reports.
