<div>Position Summary: The Procurement Buyer position is responsible for the end-to-end procurement process within areas of assigned areas of responsibility. This includes sourcing, negotiations, contract lifecycle management, cost savings initiatives, and purchase order management while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position will provide key support of Ariba systems and processes as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Execute procurement activities in supporting company goals and objectives, cost savings</li>
<li>Execute procurement activities within Ariba Contract and Procurement modules</li>
<li>Responsible for contract and purchase order lifecycle &ndash; track and manage contracts, purchase orders, RFPs, RFQs, Supplier onboarding, etc.</li>
<li>Support negotiations of business terms in contracts, including pricing with vendors, to deliver greatest value to the Company</li>
<li>Identify potential vendors with knowledge of vendor utilization across departments and coordinate due diligence activities across the Company as needed.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams among business stakeholders, legal, information security, vendor risk management and finance functions</li>
<li>Ability to influence others as part of cross-functional teams</li>
<li>Adhere to company risk management/control framework</li>
</ul>
Qualifications required:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent education and experience
</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in purchasing field</li>
<li>Experience executing end-to-end procurement activities &ndash; sourcing, contract negotiation and execution, and purchase orders</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to identify and drive cost savings</li>
<li>Effective communication, influencing and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Highly organized, detail oriented, and ability to multi-task</li>
</ul>
Qualifications desired:
<ul><li>Purchasing experience in financial services, technology, indirect materials and services</li>
<li>Ariba &ndash; Contract and Procurement modules</li>
<li>MBA degree</li>
<li>Six Sigma training</li>
<li>Successful track record in a hybrid procurement model</li>
</ul>
Physical Demands and Work Environment: The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required. Candidates will report to the office three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
