Server/ Waiter responsibilities include greeting and serving members/guest, providing detailed information on menus, and multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties.

Job Functions
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.</li>
<li>Take food and drink orders from members/guest accurately and with a positive attitude.</li>
<li>Engage with members/guest in a friendly manner.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions.</li>
<li>Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.</li>
<li>Help members/guest select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions</li>
<li>Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.</li>
<li>Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.</li>
<li>Properly open and pour wine at the tableside.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and sake preferred.</li>
<li> Where applicable, holds a state and/or local food handlers card.</li>
<li>Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor.</li>
</ul>

<li>Ability to lift 40 lbs.</li>
<li>Ability to work long hours, evenings, holidays, and weekends.</li>
<li>Ability to remain on feet the majority of the workday.</li>
</ul>
Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.</li>
</ul><ul><li><ul><li>Have 2+years of serving or related experience in a full-service restaurant</li>
<li>Have a current food handler&rsquo;s card and alcohol service certification as required by federal/state/local law</li>
<li>Meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages</li>
<li>Have basic knowledge of food and beverage service/hospitality</li>
<li>Have Excellent customer service skills</li>
