<div><div><b>The Club at Longview</b> is seeking a highly motivated <b>Accounting Manager </b>to join our team in Waxhaw, North Carolina.
<br>
This key position reports to the General Manager, working closely with the Regional Controller. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing daily accounting operations, to include summarizing revenue and accounts receivable, accounts payable, and processing bi-weekly payroll and other HR administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be extremely organized.<br>

Key Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Assist in managing and overseeing daily operations of the accounting department.</li><li>
Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.</li><li>
Protect club operations by keeping sensitive financial and member information confidential.</li><li>
Perform basic office tasks, including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, filing, etc.</li><li>
Accurately prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.</li><li>
Reconcile cash tenders and post daily charges to member accounts.</li><li>
Post member AR payments including monthly ACH &amp; credit card autopayments.</li><li>
Prepare bank deposits and process them through the online banking portal.</li><li>
Research, track and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.</li><li>
Provide prompt and courteous assistance to members in answering inquiries and correcting member statements when charging errors are made.</li><li>
Distribute collections notices for past due members.</li><li>
Follow corporate policy by suspending delinquent members and work with the General Manager to collect payment.</li><li>
Provide prompt and courteous assistance and support to company personnel in accounting inquiries.</li><li>
Process weekly check runs and ensures vendors are paid accurately and on time.</li><li>
Balance Vendor statements each month to ensure no invoices are missing.</li><li>
Maintain accurate records of invoices and payments.</li><li>
Verify departmental coding of invoices and ensure managers are following proper accounting procedures.</li><li>
Prepare 1099s each year.</li><li>
Work with membership director to accurately process new members, downgrades, upgrades, and resignations.</li><li>
Process electronic onboarding of new hires, pay rate changes, and employee terminations.</li><li>
Process biweekly payroll and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.</li><li>
Assist Controller with other payroll duties as requested.</li><li>
Assist Controller with bank statement reconciliation and other various month end duties, as requested.</li><li>
Support Controller with special projects.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><div><b>
Required Education</b>:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred in Finance, Accounting or Business, OR 3+ years progressive accounting experience, Country Club experience a plus.</li></ul><div><b>
Required Skills:</b></div><ul><li><b>
Excellent organizational skills.</b></li><li>
Strong management and communication skills.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage competing priorities, with flexibility to work on a variety of activities across the various departments.</li><li>
Ability to take ownership, work independently, and produce accurate and timely results.</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively across functions to achieve Club&rsquo;s goals and objectives.</li></ul><div><b>
Typical Physical/Mental Demands:</b></div><ul><li>
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 20 pounds.</li><li>
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.</li><li>
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.</li><li>
Must have reliable transportation for weekly deposits at a local bank establishment.</li></ul><div><br>

The history of Longview dates back to the 1800s when it was first known as The Longview Black Jack Farm. In 1953, Mel Graham's father purchased a small portion of the property as an annex of the Graham Dairy Farm. Decades later, Mel started purchasing any land that attached to his Dad's small farm and eventually assembled over 1,000 acres. In 2001, Mel put the vision of The Club at Longview into action. As Jack Nicklaus stood on this property and looked at the gentle rolling hills with its pines and hardwoods, its creeks, ponds, and nature preserves, he said, &quot;It's as if it was always meant to be the home of a great golf course.&quot; Two years later, on October 20, 2003, The Club at Longview officially opened! The old-world charm and architecture found throughout the Club and the Longview community is a direct result of Mel's travels throughout Europe.
