<p><b>Men&rsquo;s Basketball Assistant Coach</b><br>
</p> <p>The College of St. Scholastica, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) is seeking applications for a Men's Basketball Assistant Coach. Responsibilities of Assistant Coach will include, but are not limited to, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, on-court instruction for practice and games, scouting opponents and game film preparation, camp organization and direction, along with other assigned duties. Successful candidates must have strong interpersonal communication skills, display an understanding of NCAA Division III rules and carry the ability to maintain professional conduct while acting as a role model for the student-athletes.<br>
</p> <p>This is a ten-month salaried position reporting to the Head Men&rsquo;s Basketball Coach. The Assistant Men&rsquo;s Basketball Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the men&rsquo;s basketball program with a focus on the retention and success of current student-athletes.<br>
</p> <p><b>Major Responsibilities:</b></p><br>

<li> <p>Recruit and retain a diverse group of student-athletes</p></li><br>

 Keep an organized document of all recruits and interactions</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 On-court instruction for individual workouts, practices and games</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Opponent and self-scouting though Hudl, Synergy and other platforms</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Organization and direction of camps and clinics</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Video breakdown for specific positions</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Support student wellness- mental and physical strategies</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Team bonding &amp; team building coordinator</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Ensure integration of Men&rsquo;s Basketball program activities to College mission and culture to include the Benedictine Values of Community, Respect, Love of Learning, Hospitality and Stewardship</div></li><br>
<li>
<p>
 Other duties as assigned</p></li><br>
</ul> <p><b>Requirements:</b></p><br>
<ul>
<li> <p>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required/Master&rsquo;s degree preferred.</p></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Valid driver&rsquo;s license, CPR, AED and First Aid certifications required,</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 One or more years coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level; collegiate playing and/or managerial experience is preferred but not required.</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Extremely detail oriented- great at administrative tasks.</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Strong organizational, writing, interpersonal, oral communication, and computer skills needed.</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Secondary Duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the Athletic Department and efficient use of the college&rsquo;s resources.</div></li><br>
<li>
<div>
 Knowledge and experience with video editing software, Adobe Photoshop and social media platforms.</div></li><br>
<li>
<p>
 Commitment to the student-athlete experience, passion for the game, and ability to coach and motivate.</p></li><br>
