DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>
Orders Grocery goods and maintains appropriate stock.</li><li>
Follows outlined procedures, including proper rotation and overstocking practices.</li><li>
Handles all product in a safe and organized manner.</li><li>
Confirms product dates and pulls all expired product daily; rotates and stocks throughout shift.</li><li>
Scans and properly disposes of all shrink for the Grocery dry goods sub-department.</li><li>
Maintains accurate and consistent records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, daily shrink totals, and inventories.</li><li>
Coordinates with the Category Manager to ensure accurate Grocery costs and prices in system.</li><li>
Assists in ensuring appropriate signage is present throughout Grocery.</li><li>
Utilizes resources to price products according to established margins.</li><li>
Utilizes internal movement reports to ensure offerings meet customer needs.</li><li>
Researches competition and conducts monthly price comparisons at nearby competitors&rsquo; stores.</li><li>
Follows external market trends to anticipate customer needs.</li><li>
Evaluates vendors and negotiates based on price, quality, and delivery speed.</li><li>
Evaluates and monitors contracts to ensure vendors comply with the agreed terms.</li><li>
Communicates with staff and vendors regarding miss-picks or defective product; secures credits.</li><li>
Assists in maintaining neatness and cleanliness throughout Grocery, especially the dry goods area.</li><li>
Meets or exceeds efficiency standards set and reviewed by management.</li><li>
Protects store assets by participating in periodic inventory, following established security practices/policies, and handling injuries/incidents to minimize store liability.</li><li>
Helps to develop and execute remerchandising plans that aim to drive sales and increase labor efficiency.</li><li>
Maintains a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.</li><li>
Supports co-op core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct.</li><li>
Provides prompt, knowledgeable service and assists in finding items or identifying prices.</li><li>
Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with the products and services offered by the co-op.</li><li>
Others duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.</li><li>
A minimum of one (1) year&rsquo;s experience in a retail environment.</li><li>
A minimum of one (1) year&rsquo;s experience and familiarity with natural foods.</li><li>
Supports the co-op&rsquo;s core values and aligns with the Co-op Code of Conduct.</li><li>
Adapts readily based on evolving co-op needs or in response to feedback.</li><li>
Maintains composure in highly stressful or adverse situations.</li><li>
Computer proficiency and familiarity with MS Office Suite.</li><li>
POS and receiving systems experience strongly preferred. Catapult experience a strong plus.</li></ul> 
ENVIRONMENTAL &amp; PHYSICAL DEMANDS<ul><li>
Flexibility to work any shift, including mornings, middays, evenings, weekends.</li><li>
Ability to work in varying temperatures (approximately 20&deg;F &ndash; 90&deg;F).</li><li>
Ability to stand or sit for long periods at a time.</li><li>
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and climb.</li><li>
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.</li><li>
Reliable access to transportation.</li></ul></div>
