 Overview
 
 
 
 Greet and escort guests to restaurant tables in accordance with established guest service standards.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Greet and warmly welcome guests at the door.
 </li>
 <li>
 Escort guests to the dining room, and introduce them to their server.
 </li>
 <li>
 Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
 </li>
 <li>
 Estimate wait times for guests, and monitor the guest waiting list.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure all guest needs are met to the required standard.
 </li>
 <li>
 Correctly account for all payments taken.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.&Acirc;
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and&Acirc; service-oriented&Acirc; manner.
 </li>
 <li>
 Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.&Acirc;
 </li>
 <li>
 Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a&Acirc; positive,&Acirc; attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.&Acirc;
 </li>
 <li>
 Flexible and long hours&Acirc; are&Acirc; sometimes&Acirc; required.&Acirc;
 </li>
 <li>
 Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force&Acirc; frequently&Acirc; or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move&Acirc; objects.&Acirc;
