Job OverviewThe Daily Ration is a locally owned and operated fast casual brunch restaurant providing a blend of table service and counter service. We also offer catering services and event hosting, both on-site at our beautiful restaurant space and off-site. Business hours at the restaurant are 7:30am-2pm on weekdays and 8am-3pm on weekends&mdash;so employees get to enjoy evenings with their family and friends. If you're interested in working evening events, that option is available to you as well. We offer competitive pay, paid training, a supportive work environment, and flexible scheduling. We do ask that you be available on Sundays!We're looking for friendly, motivated and reliable serving staff striving to provide the best customer service possible and contribute to a thriving community. We're currently looking for people with barista experience who are interested in a barista-focused position. If this interests you, we'd love to have you join our team!Responsibilities<ul><li>Run and serve food and drinks, bus tables, cashier, and bartend. Barista-focused positions are also available</li><li>Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly</li><li>Communicate appropriately with coworkers to ensure efficient service</li><li>Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service</li><li>Handle food and alcohol safely</li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining room</li><li>Take orders efficiently and accurately</li><li>Handle money responsibly</li><li>Open and close the restaurant appropriately</li><li>Manage time appropriately and have a sense of urgency and efficiency</li><li>Adhere to restaurant standards</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Restaurant industry experience, particularly barista experience, is preferred but not required</li><li>Experience with the Toast POS system is preferred but not required</li><li>Weekend availability is required, particularly Sundays</li><li>ABC licenses are required&mdash;if you don't currently have one you must get one within 90 days of employment</li></ul>Please reach out to learn more!
