The Dixon Group is looking for a Mechanical Process Engineer to join our team at one of our manufacturing divisions in Chestertown, MD! In this role, you&rsquo;ll play a key part in transforming manufacturing processes to ensure operations run smoothly, safely, and with top-quality results. You&rsquo;ll analyze workflows, spot opportunities for improvement, and introduce cutting-edge solutions that boost productivity and reduce waste. Collaboration drives this role&mdash;you&rsquo;ll work side-by-side with production, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to create clear process documentation and best practices that align with our operational goals. Plus, you&rsquo;ll lead training sessions and provide hands-on support to the manufacturing team, empowering them with the skills and knowledge they need to excel.

<ul><li>&#65039; What You'll Do:</li></ul>
<ul>
<li>Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality</li>
<li>Design and model jigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD software.</li>
<li>Develop, test, and implement CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) programs using CAM software to support production operations.</li>
<li>Develop, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), detailed work instructions, and process flow charts. Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and accessible to production staff.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address process-related issues</li>
<li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process deviations</li>
<li>Design and conduct experiments to validate new processes and improvements</li>
<li>Train and support manufacturing staff on new processes and best practices</li>
<li>Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements based on data analysis</li>
</ul>
 What We're Looking For:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience as a Process Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment utilizing CNC machines.</li>
<li>Previous experience operating CNC machines required.</li>
<li>Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SmartCAM, etc.) and CNC programming.</li>
<li>Exceptional technical writing skills with proven experience creating detailed process and work instruction documents.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.</li>
<li>Strong written communication skills.</li>
<li>High proficiency in 3D CAD software, with a strong preference for SolidWorks.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques and methodologies</li>
<li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel and statistical analysis tools</li>
<li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail</li>
<li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within teams</li>
