1st Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
 
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $17 - $20 per hour + 15% Shift Differential on 2nd Shift

Are you a proactive, detail-oriented individual who keeps things moving? The Dixon Group is hiring a Material Handler to join our skilled manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD! You&rsquo;ll transport parts and components safely throughout the facility, maintaining a steady flow of materials to work centers. Stay in tune with demand signals and ensure each area has the supplies needed to stay on schedule. You&rsquo;ll also learn all aspects of our shipping and receiving operations, including overhead cranes and both walk-behind and ride-on forklifts. What You'll Do:
<ul>
<li>Operate weight and count scale.</li>
<li>Outsource material from factory to warehouse on a daily basis.</li>
<li>Rectify inventory issues.</li>
<li>Use proper materials for job (pallet, box) when packing material.</li>
<li>Create manifests for shipping to outside vendors.</li>
<li>Communicate with warehouse and factory shuttle drivers when material needs to move.</li>
<li>Work with clamp department doing material related functions to keep production flowing.</li>
<li>Help pre-pack department when time permits.</li>
<li>Help other material handler on factory floor by taking out cardboard, empty cages, wash parts and move parts to the next location.</li>
<li>Assist with other areas of material handling as needed.</li>
</ul>
What We're Looking For:

<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Forklift certified.</li>
<li>Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail</li>
<li>Willingness to learn, follow procedures, and work independently</li>
<li>Reliable, team-oriented mindset with great time management</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and a sense of accountability to every task</li>
<li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods</li>

<li>Process orders and coordinate shipments to ensure smooth delivery.</li>
<li>Handle customer concerns and determine the best way to resolve issues.</li>

<li>Maintain a strong understanding of company policies and product offerings.</li>

What We're Looking For:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>2&ndash;5 years of customer service or inside sales experience (call center, retail, services, or B2B preferred).</li>
<li>Experience in hose &amp; fitting, fluid power, or industrial distribution industries is a plus.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills&mdash;both written and verbal.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.</li>
<li>A professional attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering great service.</li>
<li>Mechanical aptitude and curiosity to learn about technical products</li>
