We&rsquo;re seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial health and daily operations of our growing business.Position OverviewThe Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and support strategic decision-making. This role requires someone who is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a creative, fast-paced retail and design environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting &amp; Bookkeeping<ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries</li><li>Manage accounts payable and receivable</li><li>Reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and vendor accounts</li></ul>Retail &amp; Inventory Support<ul><li>Track inventory costs and assist with margin analysis</li><li>Review freight claims and track the appropriate financial compensation</li><li>Monitor purchase orders, vendor invoices, and product costing</li><li>Assist in establishing and maintaining vendor accounts including insights regarding purchasing tiers and efficient ordering practices and payment structures</li></ul>Compliance &amp; Administration<ul><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations</li><li>Assist with sales tax reporting and filings</li><li>Support audits and work with external accountants/CPA</li><li>Maintain organized financial documentation and systems</li><li>Coordinate employee onboarding, including paperwork, system setup, and orientation</li><li>Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor regulations</li><li>Administer employee benefits (health insurance, retirement plans, PTO tracking, etc.)</li><li>Serve as point of contact for employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and policies</li><li>Help maintain and update employee handbook and company policies</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li>2&ndash;5+ years of accounting or finance experience</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks online)</li><li>Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, sheets, Drive)</li><li>Strong Excel skills and attention to detail</li><li>Understanding of inventory-based accounting preferred</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills</li></ul>Preferred Traits<ul><li>Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial team members</li><li>Proactive, problem-solving mindset</li><li>Comfortable working in a small business environment</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Competitive hourly rate varies based on experience level</li><li>Employee discounts on store products</li><li>Opportunities for growth within a creative business</li></ul>Pay: From $30,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible schedule</li></ul>Work Location: In person
